Hi,
Today I updated my Nitrogen OS to the version 20170825. After update my launcher changed into Google Now Launcher. There is no Nitrogen home launcher so I cannot choose it as my launcher. Is it removed from the new update or is it a bug?
My phone is Nexus 4.
That is done by the gapps that you flashed. Which one did you flash?

Hello everyone,

I'd like to flash this ROM to my Nexus 4, but the situation is a bit complicated.
Sadly my phone's digitizer is partly broken, it does not recognize touches right where the navigation bar is. Everywhere else it works as it should, but I can't navigate using the built-in system navbar.
When it broke, I installed a third party app from the playstore, which is a slide-in navbar overlay, so I can trigger it with a swipe gesture and use it. The problem with this solution is that it is not present on a freshly installed ROM, so I'm afraid I couldn't even finish the first use setup wizard with this partly broken digitizer. I thought about installing the apk using the recovery, but I think it would still need some configuration to be usable (also it needs accessibility permissions), so this is not an option on a fresh, not even "wizard done" install.

So my question is this: is there a way to change the default height of the navbar (for example double it), so it would be taller than the broken part of my digitizer? It would essentially solve the problem.

Thanks in advance!

so far, the best I could get related to that was that you can change the smallest width and make everything a little bigger

Hey Nitin,

I saw that you are working on this one too:
aoscp_mako-5.0.2-20171116-unofficial.zip

What are the main differences between they?

The solution posted in above post or you can try and rotate the screen while you are in setup.

Bluetooth connection issue

I am very pleased with this ROM. The only difficulty I have is that it won't pair/connect with my bluetooth Jabra Drive car speaker which I use a lot for navigation and calls. The phone connects OK with other bluetooth devices and also previously connected to the Jabra speaker with stock Lollipop [What I used before this excellent ROM]. So I am thinking its maybe a software/kernel issue? Is it likely I'll be able to resolve this one - I've no idea how - because I would really like to keep using this ROM on my nexus 4. It has given it new life.

So here is the first 8.1 Nitrogen OS build for mako: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=889964283620771672

Clean flash is required.

Flashing instructions:
1. Boot to TWRP and wipe everything except internal storage (do this by selecting each partition and NOT factory reset)
2. Flash ROM Zip
3. Flash 8.1 arm PICO gapps (get them from AFH or from anywhere on internet)
4. Flash Magisk 14.5 if you want root
5. Enjoy and do not forget to share your feedback.

Notes:
1. I know NFC and notification LED (only while charging) don't work yet, and it'll be fixed when I get a solution for that
2. Turn off Always on under Display -> Ambient Display; if it is kept on, itcreates issues while unlocking the phone

Enjoy! :good:
