Don't know, but I'm sure that flashing a new rom will. Thanks! So will the format clear root as well? I am stock rooted at the moment.
If you have installed TWRP already, these things are easily fixable.

Download Rom, gapps, magisk. Copy everything to your PC, including all photos, documents, backups of anything else you want.I do have TWRP. It's great to use and better than Clockwork for me.
I didn't know installing a new rom would clear root, though. I thought you had to be rooted in the first place to be able to install these roms. At least that is how it was for me on the Evo and Note 2.

Boot to TWRP, make sure you can access phone from PC to copy stuff back afterwards. Make sure this works or you'll be stuck without phone until you get it going.
Format Data (have to type yes) them wipe system and data. Reboot to TWRP. Copy Rom, gapps, magisk to the phone, then flash them all in the same order.
Reboot to system, setup phone and restore backups etc.
Try to reinstall the TWRP, and about Nitrogen, it's a good ROM?I have moved to Colt as this ROM is no longer supported. But Colt seems to have performance issues that NItrogen doesn't and plus has greater battery demands. I have seen Colt shutdown my N6 suddently and without warning.
Anyway out of interest thought I would go back to Nitrogen to compare and tried the last release. Loaded it onto my phone and then tried to install it using TWRP (wiped everthing apart from storage). But received an error message (can't recall the exact text) about this version of Android is only for Shamu (and that is where I was trying to install it). Did a few times with different downloads and the same message. So have gone back to Colt!

Hey Nitin, just curious. I am still undecided if I'm going to replace my Nexus 6 this year. But am strongly considering either the OnePlus 5t, 6 or 6t as a possible replacement, again if I even decide to replace it. Curious if you have plans to support these device(s) with Nitro rom? Been rocking this room for 18 months and love it.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Most are on android 10, but Nitro is solid.Despite loving my OnePlus 6T, but came across a near mint in box Nexus 6 for $60. So I snagged it. Its been about 18 months since I replaced it with the 6T. Despite my enjoyment of the 6T I have always missed the N6. Anyway,s I am stoked to have a N6 again and am looking to flash this rom when I get the phone later this week.
Wondering what peoples experiences are for this ROM? I loved Nitrogen OS when I had my old N6, but wondering how this current iteration is?
I know it's probably subjective, but what A10 rom(s) do you recommend? I also read that Los 17.1 was released recently for N6.
Bluetooth audio works in almost all 10 ROMs now including Colt@ozzmanj1
I was surprised to see this thread awake again...
I would definitely go for a 10 ROM rather than Nitro, which is no longer maintained. Me, I'm very happy with crDroid 10, which naturally has a few complainers, but for me is totally stable and all the features that I use (including Bluetooth audio) work absolutely fine.

I was a user of Nitin Chobhe's ColtOS 9, and I would also be using ColtOS 10 if crDroid had not appeared first. (This ROM, Nitrogen, was also Nitin's ROM and I was a long-time happy user of it.)

Do a twrp and flash one. Linrage 17.1 is android 10,solid. Colt is smooth. Crdroid is well done.I know it's probably subjective, but what A10 rom(s) do you recommend? I also read that Los 17.1 was released recently for N6.
Thank you for the information. I shall check these out.@ozzmanj1

Thank you Nitin for the information. Also I would like to thank you again for the nitrogen os and all your work. Of Al the customs ROMs I used in the past for nexus 6, nitrogen is still my hands down favorite OS and I always appreciate your work.Bluetooth audio works in almost all 10 ROMs now including Colt(as it is fixed in lineage device trees by @Elektroschmock )

Thank you for the suggestions. I shall try them out, thank youDo a twrp and flash one. Linrage 17.1 is android 10,solid. Colt is smooth. Crdroid is well done.
So you gotta try. All are daily drivers. ?
Nitin does a good job and maintain always since long ago. So colt 4 me.
There is, also blissrom, really nice.
I wrote this when I decided to stop Nitrogen for shamu.Side question, any chance of a nitrogen os revival? May I ask why nitrogen os was discontinued? I just absolutely love this rom and am sad to see it no longer active.
I understand, thank you again. I got curious and saw pixeldust, is this still active or just coltOs?I wrote this when I decided to stop Nitrogen for shamu.
I don't have enough time to maintain anymore ROM than the ones that I'm maintaining presently (at least now). Maybe someone take Nitrogen ROM and build it for shamu, I can help with whatever I can :highfive:
Nitin
Okay, been looking at ColtOS, and it does look really nice. My like new (9/10) will be in a day or two. Can't wait to dig into this. Sorry for necro-ing a thread.I wrote this when I decided to stop Nitrogen for shamu.
