Updating from Android 9

Can I dirty flash the new Nitrogen with Android 10 on top of my current Pie version from August?

I have always dirty flashed new versions of Nitrogen Pie as soon as they were released in the past.

If I cannot in this case, would it be possible to retain my data and app settings? Or must I backup everything and clean flash from the beginning.

Thanks for the greatest ROM!

Don't think that you can dirty flash from pie to q.
You'll probably need to backup your data/settings and clean flash.

You may use migrate app to backup, but even it doesn't recommend to restore data from different Android version.

Sent from my POCO F1 using XDA Labs

Rom have built-in vendor already. Fw only
All these people complaining that ROMs bootloop or go to fastboot or recovery would save everybody a lot of time if they just flashed the latest stock MIUI using miflash and then start from scratch by installing twrp and doing a clean flash of their preferred ROM.
All of which is covered many times already in many threads...

yeah and that's just what I did and it goes into fastboot
Nitrogen P does not have inbuilt vendor
figures I downloaded the one with vendor+firmware now it boots

The issue manifests primarily via third-party apps — like Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp — with users of those applications experiencing low-volume, tinny, distant audio. In further experiments, it seems affected apps are exclusively using the top microphone, ostensibly meant to be used for noise cancellation.
i found this problem for one plus users and i face it on this nitrogen os for poco

Extremely frustrated with this on the Android 10 ROMs I've been using. The above post is from January but has the issue been addressed? Please don't make me go back to MIUI haha

I Installed Nitrogen-OS-10-beryllium-20191110.zip on pocophone F1

I was coming from PocoF1-PORT_MIUI_9.11.7_MiRoom_10.0.zip with dual applications for Facebook and messenger. (Used migrate)

I reinstalled my Facebook and messenger since they were crushing and this is what I got (see attachment). And cannot login.

How do I go about this and what does it mean ?

Wrong thread.
Your query should be asked on this thread.

I installed the latest build (Android 10) and everything went smoothly. The only problem I faced so far is, that I cannot install Magisk Module Viper4Android. Is this a known issue? What's the trick to get it installed?
