1. Still can't modify the clock and battery with GravityBox (KK). Same goes for the nav bar buttons, they cant be resized.

2. The Titanium Backup preferences menu was grey text on a white background.

The ROM installs nicely, very straight forward. Aroma is easy to navigate and very uncluttered.

3. Restoring apps from Titanium Backup was a bit of a chore. My first backup failed and resulted in a stuck boot screen. I had to to a re-flash then do a restore with a few items deselected that may have been causing a conflict. After that everything was working again.

So far so good. Just those couple of fixes with the status and nav bars are keeping me from jumping into CROMI-X 7.
Hi thanks for the feedback:

1. Gravity box needs to get up to speed with 4.4 framework changes - nothing I can do about their software not working unfortunately. Of course it maybe that they are not compatible with non aosp sources like the asus framework uses in which case we are sool.

2. Yes - Titanium must elect to use the framework background for settings (which is white) and then their own fonts (which are white as they expect a black background). Tibu will need to fix this.

3. Not had that problem - you must have restored something that conflicted with the 4.4 system (I.e., a 4.3 system or setting)

Hello there, I´, back again with a new TF700T... (Last TF700T I have bricked by changing Recovery from TWRP to CWM... uuups)

Last Weekend, the new one was 4 days old, I have tried to get the Update to Android 4.3 but it was not availeble for my device (online checked).
So I habe unlocked my device by using Asus Unlock Tool, than I have rootet my device by using Motochopper Tool and flashed Recovery TWRP an CromiX 5.4.
Ok that was a great step in feature, much faster and a bit nicer than stock rom...

So long...
Now I have seen these Thread here with the newest CromiX an I want to have it on my device, but I remember my last brick by changing recovery and I have readed, that my device has to be on Stock Bootloader 4.3...
Two Problems now I have...:

1. How can I check my Bootloader Version? (About your device is nothing to read about that...)
2. How can I save chang Recovery from TWRP to CWM?

3. A Spezial question: I know that there is a solution to repair bricked devices if some backup files from MY device are availeble.
I have readed about that, but it was to late for my device, it was bricked and no backup files I have created...

Thanks for the Moment...

Little Question: What is about Cromi-X and KitKat for the TF700T Device?
I have only found somewhat like Crombi Rom KitKat 4.4...

Not sure if this is a dock or a ROM issue: I installed CROMi-X 6 [JB 4.3] a few weeks ago, and then later ordered and received the dock. I've noticed recently the Search key on the dock isn't working. I'm pretty sure it worked when I first received it. I've checked through my settings in GravityBox and haven't come across anything the should affect this key.

Anyone else experience this?

Yes the installer maps search to be an alt key. Reinstall the ROM dirty over the top and unselect that option in the installer. ;)

I must have remembered incorrectly. I thought it worked as a search button when I first connected the dock, which was after I installed CROMi-X. But hey, I recently turned 50, so maybe my memory is going bad as well as my eyes and ears.

Anyhow, it's not a big deal to actually touch the screen for Search. I may play with it later.

Would be great if there was a way to change the dock keyboard mappings on the fly, like changing input methods, instead of flashing the ROM.

I think I came across mention of a keyboard manager app/function in the CROMi-X 7 thread. Is there something similar in CROMi-X 6?

Well I include a keyboard manager in 6.1 as well but to be honest I thought who uses search on the dock? (You do!) :) So as we have no ALT key you can now press it with TAB for app switching with the dock which is far more useful ;)

Hah, yeah, count on me to be the abnormal case study! ;) Actually, my dock does have an Alt key, but it is on the wrong side of the spacebar to be convenient (kind of a long stretch for one-handed operation). I wasn't aware I could do Search-Tab for app switching. I learn something new every day!

One of these days I'll sit down and explore all the myriad options for installing and customizing the ROM. You, sir, have done an amazing job, both with creating the ROM and answering dumb questions from people like me. Thanks!

keyboard not working

Hello,
Thanks for this ROM, my device's keyboard isn't functioning at all, none of the keys are working. Is there any bug or something to do?
Thanks.

No, for me the keyboard works fine.
Maybe you have to flash again (dismark something about keep keyboard layout) an flash again.

Sounds more ominous - there were no changes to the keyboard dock.

Can you provide a dmesg after booting please - from a terminal - type:

dmesg > dmesg.txt

and zip it and add here please.

it says read-only file system.
btw, when i plug the dock it detects the dock and disables the touch keyboard but no keys are working except touchpad.

Hi, I am curious on if this rom has a better battery life overall compared to the stock rom? I heard the stock rom for 4.3/4.4.2 was never really able to go into deep sleep. Is this any different with this rom? Also, would this be any different with installing an AOSP rom? Thanks for all your hard work!!!

I never had any issues with battery life on it. But then I don't on crombi-x 7 either.
