sbdags,

How are you? Long time, no talk! :)

I haven't been able to use my Tablet in quite some time and now can once again. But there is one thing I forgot about your ROM (I did look on my Tablet before asking, but didn't find anything);

Does this ROM have a Kernel that allows for OverClocking? And if so, did you install an OverClocking utility within the ROM? Or should I just use SetCPU or something?

I apologize for bothering you with this after all this time, seriously!

Oh btw, did the KitKat ROM you were thinking about ever come out? I'd be interested, if so! I didn't find it in a search, but I could have missed it. :)

Thanks!!!

No it doesn't support OC'ing unfortunately - but there are lots of tweaks applied to help out.

Yes there is a Kitkat version of CROMi-X 7 in the dev forum :)

Okay, thank you for replying so quickly!

Your ROM is fast and smooth, I wasn't implying otherwise, of course. I just figured if it was available, then I would utilize it.

I'll hunt around for that KK forum and see if I can find it, thanks! :)

The only problem I've ever had with the JB ROM, is that when my Tablet starts up (and sometimes doing other stuff, like uninstalling an app), a small box pops up that says; "System UI has stopped". I couldn't find what was doing it and it seems to run okay after I tap to close the message, so while I had investigated it, I didn't go crazy.

I'm sure it'll go away if I upgrade to the KK ROM. :)

Btw, if you're not already aware, you can write to the External Storage under KK, after you run the "SD Fix" patch. Just FYI.

Oh, cool! I'll definitely track down your ROM! :)

I'm assuming since it's still the same Custom ROM (except for going to KK), that it'll go right over the old one. I'll back up just before, so I'll definitely try it and let you know. :)

It's still that "DeOdexed" or whatever it's called format like this one, right?

I'm gonna try to find it right now. I'm on my phone (disabled and in bed), so it isn't like having it laid out on a big screen in "Desktop Mode", but I'll find it! <lol>

Thanks!!! :)

Thanks!!! :)

So I can just take that Flashable Zip for the BootLoader & CWM and on my Tablet, use my current CWM to Flash it and when I reboot, JB will still be running fine, but I will now have the latest BootLoader and my CWM will be at 6.0.5.1?

Just want to make sure I read it right. :)

I didn't read about installing the ROM yet. It has to either be a Flashable Zip, or an Odin install. Whichever way allows me to install it without losing all my stuff. :)

Well there is always a chance that you can't dirty flash the rom but yes technically it should go fine. Flash the bootloader and latest cwm as you said, then reboot and flash the rom. Odin is for samsung only devices so throw those memories away ;)

Thank God you told me that, dude! I did not know that!

I just wanted you to know that I have always appreciated how patient you are with me!!!

I have done a lot of flashing and updating (and have laid out procedures I came up with in new threads, etc), but I always have more to learn (you just taught me something) and believe in bowing to the wisdom of developers I trust, of which you are one, of course!

I like to ask questions, just to make sure that I understand things correctly. And I'm not trying to patronize you now, but I have to also compliment you on how well you lay out procedure in your OP's! :)

Thank you so much for all of your kindness! You truly are a top level developer! I mean that! And please let me know about any apps you develop. I'd love to support your efforts (test on my devices, purchase pro versions, etc)!

Just a quick one?
If I want to revert from 7.0 to this ROM do I need to revert to a different bootloader first? If so which one and how?
Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't need to downgrade the bootloader.

But you probably will need to do a full wipe as you are going from Kitkat to JellyBean.

Can I ask why you want to go back to JB?

Just experimenting.
I get the dock not reading my SD card problem on 7.0 and 7.0.3.
I just wanted to see whether it also happened on 6.1 which I have never used.
I have tried wiping and reinstalling and reformatting the card as well as other cards but it always returns.
Not ready to try Lollipop yet - too many bugs this early in the piece.
Is there a definitive test to tell whether it is the dock itself?

Try another card. Write down the test in Q&A and see if another can test their card.

It is most likely to be your card but can't say really without you testing all scenarios.

You have a TF700 not a TF701 ;) Good job it didn't flash. Pop on over to the TF700 forums and get the right rom there :)

Hi,

I'm running the CROMi-X V6.1 [JB 4.3] ROM (Rooted) on my;

Asus Transformer TF701T Tablet

For some reason, yesterday, it started reporting a way off amount of Free Space! It says that I only have 333 MB, when I know that I have Gigs free!

I found this out, when I started getting an "Insufficient Space" message in the Google Play Store, when trying to update an app.

So I checked in my device's Settings and the storage being reported, shows only 333 MB of Free Space (the Total Space is correct though).

I ran "Storage Analyzer" and it says that I have over 5 GB of Free Space, which is about right.

All is fine with Total & Free Space on the External SD Card.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there a fix for this? I don'y know if this is just something/some file corrupted in/on my Tablet, or if it is an error that is related to this ROM that creeps up and happens just every once in a blue moon. But I have run this ROM for a long time now and I haven't had any problems at all with it. But then again, the device itself isn't known for this issue either. :)

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it!!!

Thank You!

I finally actually did figure out how to fix this problem. Now I have all my space back!

No, Factory Reset won't work, just FYI. So if somebody suggests it, don't bother. :)
