That's how a Brit says: It's rock solid [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2]
Lol - gotta love our 'merican cousinsCan you believe it, a Brit and a Yank coming together to create a rock solid Rom.....
Thx Josh
The battery drain is most likely from a google app. The kernels are all based from the Asus source and are slightly different variants. Try the default non extreme version for the most stable. The TF701 can not be OC'ed on any of these kernels - sorry. It is one of the fastest devices out there and doesn't really need it. There is another issue if you have slow downs.Due to continual battery drain problems, I am about to completely do my 701 over from scratch and reinstall this rom one more time before I try the Bliss Pop rom. During the install, I am given a choice of about 5 different kernels, but there is no explanation of what each one of them does, features, benefits, etc. Is there some documentation somewhere on this site that will give me that information? I searched, but came up empty. Will one of these kernels allow for overclocking of the processor or GPU? Also, on the first post of this thread there is a tips and tricks section that tells you to set the IO scheduler to noop, and to set the CPU min and max. Set the min and max to what??Thanks to anybody in advance!!
I guess overclocking is the wrong thing to do if one is having battery issues!! :silly: The drain on this is kind of odd. It does not get hot or anything. It has a parasitic drain while turned off. It loses maybe 10% a week. I can play a game for about 15 minutes and it will eat up 10-20 % of the battery. None of my other Android tabs do this. I will re-install the ROM again when I get home and try your suggestion. Yeah that sounds like maybe you went for the extreme kernel which basically says give me all the power all the time and screw battery lifeI guess overclocking is the wrong thing to do if one is having battery issues!! :silly: The drain on this is kind of odd. Edit: What Google apps could be the culprit?
I was using Zombi and kept checking on the Netflix issue, but never saw it get fixed. I finally changed my 3 tablets to CyanogenMod and Netflix works on that rom just fine.Hey, just recently installed this rom. Just wondering, did anyone ever find a fix for Netflix? From what I could read in this thread, it just sort of went unanswered. I also can't get google play movies and tv working. I can rent movies, but can't watch them.
Thanks
That would be due to the aspect ratio. This device has a 2560x1600 screen. Normal 16:9 (like 1080) videos would clock in at 2560x1440. This leaves 160 pixels shared between top and bottom on any full screen video of "normal" ratio. This isn't likely ROM limitation and more likely a limitation of the geometry of the screen. You aren't missing anything, you just have extra vertical space compared to other screens.Hello, how can i obtain full screen in the device? In youtube app and when i am watching videos see two black bars above and below. Thanx!!
I don´t think so. This happens with the 4/3 videos too. In 4/3 videos i see four black bars, one of each side. I come of CRMOi-X and I think I remember that this didn't happen. I tried to change rom, downgrade kernel and other things but any work. That would be due to the aspect ratio. This device has a 2560x1600 screen. Because you do.Why do you have to be on BOOTLOADER 11.4.1.27, 11.4.1.29 or 11.4.1.30 and TWRP 2.8.6.3 and how do I know which Asus Bootloader I have? What if I have TWRP 3.0.2-0 which is higher?
Thanks
I know this is for the TF701t that is what tablet i Have, the one with the metal back and higher resolution and choice of 32gb or 64 gb internal storage memory that is way I asked this question and wanted to know how I find out what my Bootloader is.Because you do.
Anyway this is for the TF701 not the TF700 so don't flash it to your TF700.
Hold down power and volume down when you boot the device - read the bootloader version at the top - it'll tell you the device as well I suspect.I know this is for the TF701t that is what tablet i Have, the one with the metal back and higher resolution and choice of 32gb or 64 gb internal storage memory that is way I asked this question and wanted to know how I find out what my Bootloader is.![]()
As of this point, the team has no plans of making any updates for the 701...I noticed there's an RC2 version of this ROM out there. I think I saw it in the TF700 forum. Are there any updates coming for the 701 out of curiosity? I'm still having issues with netflix and google play movies so I was just wondering if there are any future versions of this rom.
Thanks for the work.
