Asus Stock Modded Odex/Deodexed ROM - 11.4.1.27 KK 4.4.2

You can flash this straight over Asus Jelly Bean 4.3/4.4 stock, CROMi-X 7.x or Asus Kitkat Stock 4.4.2 without a wipe if you want to test it – but it is a very good idea do a full wipe to eliminate issues. CM11 users you MUST do a full wipe of data before installing. This ROM is aimed at users who want a Stock Rooted experience with minimal tweaks

You must be unlocked and have CWM 6.0.5.0 or above installed to flash the Stock Rom from the internal sdcard. You must also be on the 11.4.1.27 KK 4.4.2 Bootloader.

Please Unlock using the Asus Unlock Tool first found here.
Note installing and running this app will wipe your device and void your warranty.

You can flash CWM 6.0.5.1 using the instructions here.

If you need to move to the latest bootloader then manually install the bootloader package below from CWM.
Remember you need to reboot once fully before flashing the ROM.

Finally copy the ROM to a folder on your internal SD and flash it from Recovery, and reboot :)
Don't forget to do a Nandroid Backup first and give the ROM 5 mins to stabilise!

Not too sure about some of the UI colours lol. Here are some more screen shots and I have root ;)

HOW TO INSTALL

If you need to upgrade your bootloader then flash the bootloader and CWM package which will get you on the 11.4.1.27 bootloader and CWM 6.0.5.0 (obviously you need a version of CWM to flash this).

Reboot once and then flash the ROM below. I have made a few changes to it ;) You can flash it over the top of 4.3 (stock), 4.4.3 (stock) or CROMi-X 6.1 without a wipe. If you are coming from CM11 you will need a full wipe first.

ChangeLog from sbdags:
• Rom is Deodexed by me and I removed the call home apps (CMClient and DMClient)
• Rooted with Latest SuperSU binary, apk and daemon to give root access
• Fixed the SD Card write permissions for all apps
• Busybox installed
• init.d shell script support in kernel and rom
• Unsecure stock kernel
• Added ES File Explorer, Terminal App, and Titanium Backup to /system/app for easy restoring :)
• There are a lot of apps that will get updated from the play store on first install - be patient

NB The new Asus Browser no longer supports Chrome Bookmark syncing.

There are no other mods – please don’t ask for theming, changes or performance boosts. Those will come with CROMi-X :)

Lol!

I now have 2 docks btw - I'm #2 of the 2 dock club. My other dock blew up but still works - just won't charge.

I have frankened the 2 into 1 to get a working dock :)
LOL.
Bet, that's a small club. [emoji2] But exclusive, he, he
Haven't used dock 1 in quite a while. The RMA'd one works well...

Cool.

Thanks for confirming.

Looks like the 701 doesn't have many users left on it. :(
I'm running CM11 M12 and I'm not going back to stock, but I have flashed the new bootloader with no issues.
As a former TF700 user I'm absolutely in love with my TF701, it's everything the TF700 should have been. For 2014 standards it's a great tablet. Since this year's transformers are low/middle range products the TF701 is still the best transformer out there. Maybe the forums aren't too crowded because it's a product that works so well that needs little improving.

I agree with that statement and I hope sbdags doesn't give up developing on TF701. I think it's one of the best 10" tablets out there.
