It doesn't work for me. When I flash on 12.10.0, then the phone doesn't turn on. I tried both fastboot rom and recovery rom. I use 12.0.17 global. I don't know where the error is.

12.0.10,I made a mistake
flash MIUI Global 12.0.17 again=>open first time=>flash OrangeFox Recovery(skip this step if u install it before)=>wipe data, cache, dalvik =>flash MIUI Global 12.0.10 via OrangeFox Recovery =>wipe data, cache, dalvik=>reboot recovery =>Format data=>Reboot to System. Reboot first time after flash rom can take several minutes. It's working for me!

Hey, does this by any chance work on the Redmi 9AT? Or does it only work on the 9A?

This hardbricked my Xiami Redmi 9a on step 1, (Im not blaming anyone, I did what I did because I wanted to and Im the only responsible for this) I had orange fox recovery it took unuasually long to flash and it didnt boot afterwards.

Im not an expert tho, so what I call hardbrick is the phone just vibrates after a while holding the power button and the screen doesnt even turn on, it isnt recognized by the computer (wich kinda kills all hope for me), and if I try to boot into recovery the same happens but the screen turns on for a fraction of a second whith the redmi logo then turn off again, It is not recognized by the computer in this state either.

Looking into it, a russian guy says its becasue our phones dont support the global MIUI [1], I used the one sugested on this thread [2] wich I think was the issue.

He (russian guy) recomends using something called SPflash tool and/or EDL unbrick, I dont know, havent looked into it since it was on russian XD, (there has to be a tutorial in spanish or english somewhere but honestly I havent even googled SPFlash tool or EDL yet) according to him I shouldnt attempt to use the same global rom again.

Im not asking for help (although it is welcome, I dont think I really need it because what I'll learn to do next either works or its probably not posible to fix anyway since the phone isnt recognized by the computer, the next step would be to take it appart and attempt something there, I know how to take appart a phone, but I wouldnt know what to look for). Anyway, Im leaving this mostly as a warning for other users.

I would love to be more helpful, but I did not have a big enough SDcard at the moment so I did no back ups or anything of the like, the phone had became almost unusable because it was so damn slow, It was never fast to begin with and I bought it because it had good signal, but man, even after reset it was so slow, I tried this thinking, if it breaks thats it, and thats whats happened. Ill still try and fix it but now its mostly as a hobby (I genuinely like doing this kind of stuff)

If I were to fix it, I would most certainly post it in here, so if there are no updates I havent been able to fix it.

Hardbricked phone that I think its similar to mine and posible solution proposed by russian guy

Can you explain the exact process you went through that ended up bricking your phone? I will also share a guide which will most certainly fix the issue.

Can you explain the exact process you went through that ended up bricking your phone? I will also share a guide which will most certainly fix the issue.

TO INSTALL ORANGE FOX (this I think was fine I mostly followed [1]):

Unlocked bootloader from developer tools (I discovered later this apparently does nothing)
Downloaded SDK platform-tools [2] and extracted it on "C:/adb/platform-tools"
Restarted my phone into fastboot (power + vol dwn)
Installed phone drivers using this video [3]
Checked I have a A-only device with "adb shell getprop ro.boot.slot_suffix"
Nothing showed up, so my device is A-only
Downloaded this Orange Fox Recovery .zip [4]
Extracted the Recovery.img on the zip to "C:/adb/platform-tools"

Attempted to do it but failed [5]
On windows oppened a CMD and went to "C:/adb/platform-tools"
ran this command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
not allowed

I unlocked bootloader using miunlcok tool 6.5.406.31 [6], had to wait like 4 days (less than normal, the phone had issues receiving SMS so I had to change the recovery phone)

Tried again.
On windows oppened a CMD and went to "C:/adb/platform-tools"
ran this command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
went into Orange fox recovery by using power+vol up
All locked good, so I sent the Orange fox .zip from my computer to my phone and flashed it
again it all locked good.

TO INSTALL ARROW OS

I formated using Orange fox
I put the Global Miui found on this thread [7] on an sd card
put the sd card in my phone, went into orange fox recovery
formated the phone (mistakingly went into the system at this point so the phone still worked after this)
went into recovery again, formated again, taped on the Global MIUI [7]
slid the slider
took like 5 minutes (longer than usual)
it was suposed to reboot after this, but did not (I think)
the phone doesnt turn on anymore and was in the state described in my previus comment.

"the phone just vibrates after a while holding the power button and the screen doesnt even turn on, it isnt recognized by the computer (wich kinda kills all hope for me), and if I try to boot into recovery the same happens but the screen turns on for a fraction of a second whith the redmi logo then turn off again, It is not recognized by the computer in this state either."

POSIBLE SOLUTION:
stalking Applewubs I discovered that he had the same issue and that apparently I can fix it by the method said russian used, he recomended a video on spanish (I speak both spanish and english fluently) [8], again, I havent watched it yet, im taking it slow, Im more like searching stuff to try for now so I can do a lot of things the day I decide to go for it, but thank you for trying to help.

Update, XD, tried that crap but couldnt find the right files to do it so I attempted with what I was able to find and apparently I completely destroyed the phone, now it does nothing, no matter the button combo, and also when connected to the pc windows says "the device is not recognized" so I think Im screwed, anyway, I have other phones to use and even better ones, the only thing Ill miss will be the signal as I mentioned since it had damn good signal, but appart from that, the phone was trash.

I may or may not give it a final try with something called EDL for what I have to tamper a USB cable and posibly do something else, but IDK, even tho I like modifying stuff Ive been failing a lot with this one so its getting kinda annoying, I think Ill fully start using another phone and leave this for whenever I get time.

Try this before you chuck that phone https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-unbrick-hard-bricked-device.4484417/

Gotta be honest, it seems pretty similar to what I had tried before, but I was putting the phone on the "Ill never see this again but I might want to try again later so I wont just trhow it away" box, and decided, to give it one last chance and I pressed the power button expecting nothing but it did vibrate wich it had stoped doing after the last failed attempt.

I dont know if itll allow me to try the vol- vol+ thing again, but it might so Ill give it one last final push before giving up, if it doesnt Ill open it up and try umpluging the phone battery or the edl thingy or smt, also this seems super helpful since it provides most of the files in one place (I think I failed last time since te tutorials had dead links so I had to mix and match different sources wich was a really bad idea in hindsight).

Anyway, Im not expecting anything, but thank you very much.

Update, what you suggested actually kinda worked, i left a detailed explanation on what worked for me here

Its long AF but I hope if anyone needs it it helps them.

I installed ArrowOS, I just ignored most of the recomendations and ran it as is from Orange fox(I also had to reinstall this), It actually is a lot better than I had expected, its unbeliveably faster and Im not exagerating, there is still a couple issues

The wifi hotspot doesnt work, I knew that would happen, kinda annoying but it is what it is.
The touchscreen issue [Video] was sadly not completely fixxed but its also a lot better
Even tho I installed Gapps, It still did not let me use my whatsapp google drive back up but I transfered the local one and thats enough for me.

Im super happy with the results, but Ill try to solve at least the touchscreen issue once, in that venue, any help with installing Magisk?

While running miui V12.5.6, I installed recovery and ArrowOS, but I am stuck at the redmi boot logo.
Shall I downgrade to 12.0.10 ?

Can somebody please tell me which Gapps I have to use? Do I need ARM or ARM64 Gapps? I've tried it with OpenGapps and others without succes. Thanks
    Arm Android 11

I use pico, but you can use what you like most

And i have used opengapps and works great, but there are others

ARM because the phone is 32 bits,

11/A11/R because this ROM its android 11

Pico because it only install the necesary to work, then you can download everything else on playstore

How did you manage to install OrangeFox and ArrowOS
mmm... I didnt do anything special really, I just followed Orange fox install instructions (I did have a slight issue with it but it was at the end of the instalation).

with the phone unbricked and on MIUI 12.5.4.0

first thing I did was to unlock bootloader, since it was locked again, I used the latest miunlock tool and I dint even need to wait

Checked I have a A-only device with "adb shell getprop ro.boot.slot_suffix" like it tells you on [OFRP Install guide] (this is done in system), nothing showed up, so my device is A-only

Downloaded [SDK platform-tools] and extracted it on "C:/adb/platform-tools"

Restarted my phone into fastboot (power + vol dwn)

Installed phone drivers using this video [ADB <Waiting for device> error]

Downloaded this [Orange Fox Recovery .zip]

Extracted the Recovery.img on the zip to "C:/adb/platform-tools"

On windows oppened a CMD and went to "C:/adb/platform-tools" in CMD

ran this command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

went into Orange fox recovery by using power+vol up

The phone got bootloped, but weirdly enough only when trying to go into recovery, it was able to go to system just fine, so I looked it up and go to this thread [Recovery stuck on splash logo]. this will delete all your personall data, but it will allow you to go into custom recovery, you go into it, check it all works out good, and flash the .zip of oragne fox ( the one that you got the recovery.img [Orange Fox Recovery .zip])

there you have orange fox custom recovery, at this point to be fully honest I dont remember if I even tried to go into system again, everytime I did before I flashed the .zip It created user data wich was ncrypted and made me use the fix once again, so I just flashed the ArrowOS .zip from the Orange fox custom recovery and it worked great, as I said, a lot better than expected.
