Hey all,
Ive been trying to flash this rom for a while now. It keeps boot looping after the loading eye. Anyone a idea on what I can try?

Today I tried crDroidAndroid-11.0-20211110-a40-v7.12 but it could not get online. So I installed crDroidAndroid-11.0-20211020-a40-v7.11 instead.

Although I've installed NikGapps Google keeps trying to make me install Google Play Services all the time. It's annoying. How can I stopp this?

Besides of that v7.11 looks and behaves quite good

I am getting continuously nagged "Get Google Play Services!" But I got NikGapps instead. Maybe something went wrong with the installation...

Could someone please have a look at my log files?

It feels like NikGapps don't kick in where Google Apps are missing.

I guess once installed I cannot replace NikGapps by MicroGapps, can I?

I am experiencing low framerate and stuttering on the home screen ( custom ones too ex. Nova launcher ). It's nothing critical, but the animations of swiping between screens and the quick settings just aren't smooth. I also seem to find some apps preforming worse than on the stock ROM.

Does anyone else have problems like this? Is there any solution?

Yes, I have it also on my wife phone,I know it is annoying like if you have drunk something heavy,but in the settings menu everything is ok.

Have also tried different kernels but no go.

Same here, I have massive graphics issues with crDroid 7.12 on my A40. Animations are stuttering, even simple games are unplayable. On the stock rom, the same apps run smoothly.

I made a clean flash with crDroid 7.12 (wiped everything before installing it).

I have no idea how, but installing Magisk solved this issue for me.

I have Magisk installed, it didn't change anything.

This is sad because the rom is really great. Except for the graphics everything works well, which is really amazing for LineageOS on a cheap device.

I have installed CrDroid 7.12 and NikGapps but the Google cloud backup tool in setup keeps crashing. If i set up the system and try to download an app, it says that i have not enough storage. What should i do now?

Hey guys!
Thanks for this great ROM !
I'm using it for some weeks now and averything works fine except of one thing: I can't activate the encryption. I don't know, if this is a bug or not.
The phone I used before was a Galaxy S5 Neo with Lineage OS 17.1. Rootet with Magisk like my Samsung A40. In the internet, I found a hint, that encryption isn't possible after rooting. Then I was lucky with my old phone ;-).
Everytime, I start the encryption process, the phone reboots. It takes a little longer than usual. If you go to the settings after the reboot, it still says, the phone is not encrypted.
I would be very pleased to get some hints how to solve this problem. It is not urgent but I want to keep learning.

I don't really remember now. I would highly recommend crdroid 8 instead of the old crdroid 7. In my opinion it works much better. You can get it from the official crdroid website
