Build 2306: photo saved on sd card went missing after reboot.

Edited: because it's saved on android/data/obb/org.lineage.snap instead of DCIM/Camera.
Move it manually so they appear in gallery

I confirm that WIFI not working on 2306 if phone is rooted. Deleted Magisk and WiFi worked.
BUT
I have a problem to stream "Spotify" via bluetoth or WiFi. Stream starts and stops randomly.

Great ROM

It's surprisingly stabled, smooth and very fast. The cracking sound is still valid but it's not constant so it doesn't bother me as much! Apart from that, I enjoy using the ROM, Thank You!

Just installed 2306 on my backup A320 after my current phone broke.

Can't access my work e-mails as Magisk breaks the wifi and phone encryption does not work.

Gonna have try another rom :(

hi, google assistant stucks during init. Using 2306, opengapps nano. Any hints?

edit:
so, i reinstalled (same version 2306) with mindTheGapps. Everything's ok now..

ps. i also tried week ago latest build (which was 2606 i think) - it was no good - sometimes it didnt boot and wifi never did work.
So i'm happy that this - though lower - build works ok.
Was also trying Ressurection mix, but it seemed to suck battery quickly.

McFy exams should be over by now, so I hope we'll see further development soon.
Don't forget to donate guys, we need him to support the only good small form factor phone (and with proper 16/9 screen, not a crappy 9245/1 one) still available to this day!

Since some here reported issues with Magisk 19.1, has anybody tried latest stable version 19.3?

[EDITED] Self answer: Magisk 19.3 breaks wifi same as 19.1. However 19.0 works fine, at least following @textmarker007 procedure.

Wifi FIX

Same Problem (no Wifi) with Magisk 19.1.

Hi all,

In order to make WiFI work with the latest version you need to uninstall Magisk, and reinstall again "Magisk v19.0", the newer versions broke the Wifi functionality. Many thanks McFy, please keep working on this great Rom, I will donate again soon.

Please add the changelog :)

To Uninstall Magisk 19.3: https ://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v19.3/Magisk-uninstaller-20190604.zip
Download Magisk 19.0: https ://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v19.0/Magisk-v19.0.zip
Magisk Manager v7.3.2(Latest): https ://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/manager-v7.3.2/MagiskManager-v7.3.2.apk
(Delete the space betwen https and ://...)

1.- Wipe cache/Dalvik Cache/Data (Recommended)
2.- Install the latest rom(20190623).zip
3.- Uninstall Magisk 19.3
4.- Install Magisk 19.0
5.- Reboot and Install the APK Magisk Manager 7.3.2
6.- If the the Wifi dosen't work, Reboot the phone.

At this point I recommend to create an entire backup with TWRP

I do have Wifi problems even with Magisk 19.0 - so not every time after booting I can't enable it.
My workaround so far is to use to switch device into flight mode and in a terminal (like that one from FDroid) and type in:
"su"
"insmod /modules/qca_cld/qca_cld_wlan.ko"
After removing flight mode WiFi works.

What I can't understand is, why this is a problem to repeat loading of driver module until it is really inserted.

What I am not sure about (please report), whether this method will also work with Magisk 19.0 For now I'll keep at 19.0, as you can see even with this I have some WiFi troubles.

Beside that issue my only problem is, that calling/ringing via BT seems not to work, although I am connected with my BT headset/car adapter.

Anyhow, thanks @McFy to keep our A3 uptodate.

battery

so I've been using 2306 build for 2 weeks.. Only thing that itches me is battery drain - idle cpu load is 34% which is a lot i suppose.
Today i tried to root using superSU however (i wanted to see 'top' output as a root) - i had to do initial phone setup after patching and Google Assistant setup got stuck (although i wanted to skip it).
So i did clean install today, with magisk 19.0.

Try to disable the "Display Always On" feature, I notice that this drains a lot of battery. Which Version phone do you have?
I have the A320Y.

Settings -> Display -> Advanced -> Ambient Display.
And disable the 3 options. (Always On/Lift to check phone/New notifications)

I had the same problem with Whats App, but it was with the old versions of this rom. With the 04/26 Version I didn't have the problem even with the latest (06/23).

I have the A320Y Version, maybe that's why users have different experiences with this rom.

Wifi - Randomly stops working, whit a reboot the issue gets fixed. This issue happens once every ~3 days, so it's not a big problem for me.
Bluetooth - Works fine for me.
Camera - I use the OpenCamera Apk, I haven't had problems with it.
Battery - Try to disable the "Display Always On" feature, I notice that this drains a lot of battery.

3 options. (Always On/Lift to check phone/New notifications)

I don't have this phone (yet), but I'm interested how the AOD function works on it and this rom.

Do you mind helping me understand:
These 3 options can all be toggled separately?
And if you turn off the "Always On" option and leave "Lift to check phone" and "New notifications" on, does the phone behave like this: it lights up the screen for a short period of time to show the clock and so on, when you move (lift) the phone, right?
What about the new notifications - when a new notification arrives, does it light up the screen showing the notifications for a short period of time also, or is the screen kept on until you interact with the phone?

Today I found this ROM, I decided to test it, my expectation was low, but at the end I was amazed! :victory:

The first boot is going to take like 8-12 Min. I never have functional WiFi in the first boot, so just reboot the phone 1 time in order to fix it and proceed with the initial configuration.

Many thanks for your work McFy and the Teams that are working with you!
If there is way to help you to improve the development of this ROM please let me know, I will donate soon!

    Sorry for my bad English.

    Device: A320Y
    Previous ROM: Android 8.0
    ROM: lineage-16.0-20181215-UNOFFICIAL-a3y17lte.zip
    TWRP: recovery_a3y17lte-050318.tar.md5
    GAPPS: Mini

    Pros:
    -Stability. 5/5
    -Battery life. 5/5
-Sound, Video, Call, all the Apps I have tried works.
    AFwall
    WhatsApp
    YouTube
    PlayStore
    Opera Browser
    Nova Launcher
    Clover
    etc.

    Cons:
-WiFi stop working after a reboot. When I reboot the phone I could lost the WiFi. (SOLUTION: Reboot the phone one more time solves the problem.)
-I can't update to the new Magisk version, when I tried, the phone do a boot loop. (SOLUTION: Reinstall the Stock ROM (Oreo 8.0) with Odin and proceed to reinstall this ROM again)
    -SElinux Disabled :(

Extra comment. When I want to charge it with the phone turned off there is no battery percentage % to know the level of charge, I was used to disconnect it around the 80% of battery charge, but now I can't do it. I think this is something about the Lineage ROMs, I have another phone with LOS 15 MotoE and its the same case, I cant see the battery % while charging it turned off. Maybe in the future this "Feature" will be added.

Many thanks McFy! Please keep improving this ROM and fix the SElinux issue

Thanks for your support as well as the one from the others users.

I am here to give you some update on what is going on :
    - first of all I want to give a big thanks to Peter who sent me an A3 2017 so I can work faster thanks to that unit that I don't need to be reliable!
    - a new build is comming soon ;)
    - I fixed the loops that some of you get with the encryption
    - I wrote the sepolicy rules so the next build will have selinux enforced
    - I fixed the wifi on a better way so now it's more stable
    - I am testing that everything work and looking about few last things so expect a build soon :)
