Installation Steps

• Make sure you have this twrp installed
• Make sure you have latest modem and bootloader installed from here
• Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
• Download the ROM and patch zips (if any), and transfer to your phone
• Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
• Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
• Flash rom
• The first boot may take 15-20 min
• After booting up in setting wizard make sure to uncheck diagnostic data

FAQ
Q: How to report bugs?
A: If you want to report a bug make sure you include:
-device variant / modem version / bootloader version
-detailed info about the encountered issue
-steps to reproduce the bug
-logs - about how to take logs

Q: What's the difference between these 2 Lite roms?
A: J5 2016 rom has themes support, J2 2018 rom has clipboard. Personally i use clipboard everyday, maybe some of you do same and i don't use themes at all.. For me J2 rom is better. But if someone would rather use themes and ditch clipboard, can use J5 rom. Therefore 2 roms.

Q: Sound quality is low, what to do?
A: Go into Settings>Sound>Sound quality and effects>Advanced, move all the equalizer dots on top to 10db and back to 0db. Equalizer will reset now. You need to do this only once for any playback output (headphones, speaker, bluetooth).

Q: Phone is asking to reboot because sim changed, what should i do?
A: Reboot once and see if it appears again. If yes reboot again.

Q: Phone asks to wipe data because operator changed, should i wipe?
A: Try to cancel and just reboot. If you can't do that or the popup still appear, reflash the rom and wipe from aroma installer.

Q: GPS not finding my location, what to do?
A: Install GPS Test, enable location services from settings, go outside and wait for 20 minutes.

Q: How can i disable/enable navigation bar?
A: Reflash rom without wiping anything.

Q: Where are navigation bar settings?
A: There aren`t any navigation bar settings because the rom is ported from a device without native navigation bar.

Q: Why camera can`t be fully fixed?
A: Unfortunately camera can't be bugless because old device - old camera drivers, so we need to live with a bug, choosable in aroma:
- Video recording bug - Video recording works only in Footej Camera (already included in the rom) but focus is fully working
- Focus bug - Video recording works in any camera app, but focus is half broken (works 1 of 2 times)

Q: Why volte/vowifi will never work?
A: Network is partially working now because we use marshmallow network libs. For fixing these 2 features we need nougat compatible network libs which we don`t have. Hence this, volte/vowifi can't be fixed and will never work.

Q: Why native blur will never work?
A: Native blur requires blur libs from another snapdragon phone with same android version 7.1.1, only two phones now matching these two conditions are C9 pro and Note 8, and the blur libs make the phone bootloop, so will never work.

Q: Why FM Radio will never work?
A: In order to fix sound on speaker i needed to find a device with same speaker amplifier and same android version (7.1.1). After months of research i found it, but it was a tablet without FM radio. Since Samsung uses different output paths for FM, no FM for us too.

No smart capture/screen recording, i wanted to keep it clean. Game launcher is there. About private mode, i didn't had time to make it work. My main concern was and still is mobile data for sim 2, but i couldn't fix it on time. Will see what future will bring us. Regards

I'm on SM-A5000 and SIM isn't working. Everything is perfect and really appreciate your hard work. I checked the CSC and it's from Germany. Changed to my own region still no success. Then I Flashed the stock modem and csc from stock rom. Still no network. Do you know what's causing the probelm?? It shows ""Not Registered on Network" when i try to use sim.

Is it due to wrong phone details like the details showed are of the phone u ported the rom from.
The variant SM-A5000 is from china.
Really happy that u ported the rom.

I'm now getting all the components from stock Marshmallow rom that is from china and will replace the things.

Will it work if I replace the files with my phones stock rom which is SM-A5000. Can u guide me man, the whole rom is great, even the battery is increased. But SIM problem. It says "Not Registered on network".

I know about the issue, i'm trying to figure it out. CSC or phone details have nothing to do, all i can think is that it might be kernel related. I suggest you don't change things in the rom because you can end in bootloops and i won't give support for that.

Will the battery life better than the A8+ port, because the a8+ rom drain my battery very fast
