Also you should put on there, if your coming from a stock tmobile defy with the 3.60 update, to not do it. This process killed my phone. So now i have to flash to the tmo leaked rom in order to get it to boot up. Hopefully i was the only one this happened to.

Hmmm, I'm not sure having both email apps installed is a good idea. Once you get past setup in either app (took about 20 tries but finally it connected to the server and completed setup), either app will both force-close as soon as they are launched. Were you actually set up an exchange account during testing of this rom?

Hey so yeah, I've tried several other Froyo roms and exchange works fine... You should probably pull one of the email apps from this rom...

Concerning the 3G fix for 850.1900 is that to get 3g in areas using 850Mhz? Sorry I'm guessing yes. Good move!

Also if it's based on UK 2.2 rom why flash chinese sbf first up?

From my experience, you can flash chinese if your on any defy rom except the updated T-Mobile stock rom. If your on a T-Mobile updated stock rom, flash the leaked T-Mobile froyo rom and then follow these steps. As far as the 3g fix, I tried it on my T-Mobile defy and it completely killed my signal. Had to use the itzfun or what ever its called apk to get my 3g to work, but even at that, my 3g is slower than the 3g on my. Vibrant or mytouch4g. Don't know, hopefully we can get some help on that.

hey guys, as far as i can tell, dont flash this on 2.51 ...

i did everything according to your description...
came until flashing chineese stock rom^^ .... came back to the pc.
defy was off, with white led running (was fully charged, so battery is okay)

i tried everything, volume up + power, didnt work, rsd lite can recognize. nothing here...
maybe someone can give me advices? no chance here so far to get it recognized in rsd lite.

I have one question. How do you prevent motoblur installation? Is that simply a matter of skipping at first boot? Do you have plans to make a deblurred version of your rom?

I doesn't prevent Motoblur installation. Motoblur will be installed, but you use it if you want. I may do a deblurred (or a rom based off a Motorola deblurred base) in the future.

You may be right about the incompatibility. I couldn't test the added app with a Exchange Server (I don't have access to any). I usually add this app to my adlxmod roms, and I never got any problem reported. Atm, you can remove it if it causes issues.

also can i flash the data.img from my backup to restore my apps and data?

Market is working (at least for me, as described in the OP and shown on the screenshot attached)

I recommend you don't restore your data.img of you could get a bootloop, or weird issues.

Sorry if this is explained already but maybe i didnt understand if it was explicitly stated...anyways my brother's Defy is on a ROM based on 2.34. Can i flash this onto it following your instructions from the first page without any issues or is there some prep work of some type to be done first?

It work and it's great. Thanks a lot.
If I only do the "Flash boot&devtree (fixes cam flash)", the phone is keeping reboot.
After I tried to "Flash boot&devtree (fixes cam flash)", then it boot successfully.
That's the way to install the rom on my 2.51 phone.

Where are you from? On what rom did you have good signal? Did you wipe all as said?
