hey guys. As the title suggests, i'm still in a basically original Verizon Note 3. I rooted right after i got it, back in October/November 2013, and then i never touched the system again. It's been my absolutely rock-solid daily driver ever since.
Now though I find myself getting frustrated with little things. (mostly with a nightly crash that tends to happen once or twice a week, killing my alarm and making me late for work. I cannot remember what bug caused this, something to do with usb charging and sleep states or something, but iirc it was a 4.3-exclusive problem. So the fix that i looked up a couple years back was basically "update your crazy-old phone, dude." instead i built a little macrodroid script that mostly works, mostly.)
Naturally my instinct was to just do a wipe and recovery, which i haven't done in three years, but i figured if i'm going to go through the headache of setting my phone back up and all that jazz, i may as well look into updating it as well. I've looked at the posts in the dev section and haven't really be able to figure out what my best move is. It looks like most everything is abandoned, but i don't necessarily need anything that's active, so long as it works well.
So this is what i've got:
SM-N900V
rooted
SuperSU Free 2.46
safestrap 3.65
TWRP 2.6.3.1
Rom Slot: Stock
Android Version: 4.3
Baseband Version: N900VVRUBMJ7
Kernal Version: 3.4.0 [email protected] #1 Wed Oct 16 18:45:50 KST 2013
Build Number: JSS15J.N900VVRUBMJ7
SELinux Status: Permissive
Hardware version: N900V.07
I'm hoping to find a setup that is
So given what my current setup is, and given my list of desired features, i was leaning towards Jasmine, but the 6.1 install thread has a scary notice about Vulnerability to Root Loss, as well as crashes/bootloops with Xposed (which i like to use for privacy settings). So i don't know, i'm sorta back to square one. If you've got a VZW phone that's basically OG/rooted, with oldass TWRP and stuff, and you wanted to quickly and easily bring it to a newer but still solid state, keeping in mind that i haven't messed with this stuff in four years, what would you consider?
thanks a ton for any advice you guys might have!

I'm hoping to find a setup that is
- easy to install
- has touchwiz/S-Pen features
- is rock solid
- bonus if it's either fastish or awesome battery life
- bonus if it has like Note 5 screen off memo and that sort of thing
