Some have. Me personally, and others will agree, philz recovery is a bit better on the G2.

Thanks I flashed with twrp and what do you know, nothing booted up. I'm going to try with philz and see how it goes.
Edit: I flashed philz with twrp, then flashed the Rom and got the the same results. Not booting up? Any solutions?

What version of twrp? Also, do you happen to be on the 10o update?

you need to downgrade to 10d root install custom recovery and then you can flash
I tried doing so with this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 but had no luck with the lg flash tool it kept giving me a
"failed previous load" error.
seems like someone else had same problem are you using the 1.8, I personally use the 1.6
I used both. First I thought it was the 1.6 so I tried the 1.8 and the same problem occurred.

Okay i'm on 10d and i'm using philz recovery but i'm getting a status 7 error when trying to install. I used FreeGee to flash TWRP then i downloaded philz and flashed in TWRP any help here.

Try an older version of Philz, maybe. Last I seen there was an issue with the newest but it may have been fixed by now. Otherwise use twrp 2.6.3.3

I finally got it. I unchecked the binaries thing I forgot what it was called bit after that everything went good.

Go to settings and list view and then you will see the settings for battery bar

There is a download tab on this forum for this thread, click on that and there is a direct link.
Just downloaded the file and tried to install , gives me bootloop on flash screen.

BUGS:
You may find that posting pics or uploading through Tapatalk , Hangouts will be broken.( You can post to Hangouts by selecting image using a file manager)
Opening Tapatalk notification will cause a FC
To fix the posting of pic or to just turn off Split View use a file explorer and delete this line or change it from true to false "ro.lge.capp_splitwindow=true" and reboot.
Uninstalling apps that can be used in Split View may cause a FC of Split View Services
For now to deal with this FC you must hold your power button until your phone reboots.
