AICP
Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

  • Omni rom team
  • DU team
  • Community

  • @eyosen

We are now paying for servers that build nightlies and everything that comes with it, so EVERY DONATION will really be appreciated and be used to cover those expenses.
Thank you!!

Latest Stable Release Version 11

Download link: http://dwnld.aicp-rom.com/?device=fugu

Full Changelog link: goo.gl/mIgmYG

  • Don't disable Heads-Up. You wont be able to answer phone calls otherwise.
  • You tell... :p

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

How to flash:

  • Don't do it if you don't know it
  • ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.

PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

You'll need to fastboot OEM unlock for unlocking bootloader
Then need to fastboot boot twrp.recovery then install the recovery permanently by flashing it from within the booted twrp.recovery. so twrp needs to be on both PC and internal storage of nexus player.

Once you get twrp squared away, you can boot to and flash from recovery.

Bottom button on Nexus Player... Hold down while plugging in to enter bootloader. Short press to cycle, long press and release to select must be in bootloader when entering fastboot commands.

You will need a mouse connected via otg in order to do anything within twrp. I use a wireless Logitech k400 keyboard with a trackpad.

That's the crash course :)

Just make a backup in twrp(store the backup on external storage) and try it out. My previous testing, this wasn't ready for a daily driver if you use the Nexus Player for more than just Kodi. But when it worked well, it was very enjoyable
Sorry late response I haven't got to it yet thought just got a k400 while back for twrp and such was gonna ask which is stable I know I probably shouldn't ask that but most of them are nightlys unless you mean latest uploads are stable I haven't flashed nightlys for a long time since my old gs3

We'd have to ask @Trafalgar Square what the status of builds for the Fugu is. I take looks at the changelogs and have never seen specific commits for the Nexus Player. There is a build from the 23rd(yesterday) but I haven't tried any nightlies since the 13th... And that ran same as my previous attempts.

I'd really like to see the AICP tablet version! No AndroidTV UI. There isn't a current Marshmallow build in tablet mode for our device... The Pure Android build does not contain an overscan activity and can't launch the overscan.apk.

If I could formally request... AICP tablet version please ????
