In my humble opinion, this is the best Nougat Rom for our phone this moment.
I am using it as a daily driver for some time now. Updated in the today's version as well, the Rom is all I need.
If you don't care about video calls (I don't) the Rom is perfect.
It is a solid, fast , smooth, battery friendly, full substratum compatible, with a lot of customizations.
If that's what you are looking from a ROM , which you want for keeping your phone highly functional
(and not an electronic toy where to make experiments with kernels. governors, twicks until you brick it)
this is the Rom you are looking for.

Just 1 more question: shall I follow instuctions for first installation in the topic post (flash rom + gapps) or do I need to flash boot.img or other stuff as well?

I asume you have TWRP 3.0.2 in your phone
download rom
download gapps
open gapps or dynamic gapps arm 7.1
put them in your ext sdcard
reboot in recovery
factory reset>advance wipe (everything will be nice)>format data
install rom
install gapps , ( I recommend no bigger than mini gapps of any of them)
wipe cashe and dalvik
reboot
thats all

With AICP, root won't be removed, so don't hesitate and flash the latest version

Are the ota updates for this ROM similar to tilaks delta?
As in does the ota software download the entire new ROM or does it download only the updated files and changes which are way smaller than the whole ROM size

It doesn't, it just like an app to check for new update and download it (similar to download from the website)

I have a third party app that requires 2-step authentication. Does that mean, that by using OTA updates I would be able to use the app without re-registering after every update?

I'm not sure because I have never use any app like that. I can only say that use OTA didn't wipe any data from your phone (just like reboot but takes more time) so you may not need to do it

I WAS using Open Gapps so far, but since the last two roms update
I prefer Dynamic mini Gapps
MINI Open gapps = 330Mb
mini Dynamic gapps= 220 Mb
with the same and maybe better function with Dynamic
havnt seen any other difference

Yes, I've read in earlier posts that the bootloader matters. What should be done?

as far I know xposed cannot match N7.AOSP due to ART issue, so here is my biggest noobs question
can a dev ( when he is building or compiling a rom ) let a hole in the wall , in order to make xposed suits this N7 rom
can that be achieved by corporation with rovo to make the super star rom??

If you don't have any problem with random reboots then you're fine, but if you do I highly recommend to go on Sammobile and look for a Stock ROM compiled in 2016, (past june if you want, Orange updated the Stock ROM).
And don't worry if you flash the ROM from Orange, it's bloat free and it sees your SIM card.

I believe it is app for OK Google everywhere, it changed to device specific propiertary app.

I am in the 22/1 version and root is still there
As I read in their Google+ group, they are going to keep it inbuilt until Lineage release their root tool which could be flash. Until now there isnt any thing changed, as far as I know.

I am installing the 24/1 , will report soon
