I´ve just install with micro open gapps, and the only problem to report is that I wasn´t ablle to put the last skype version to works, I've installed an old version and it is working just fine.

Aicp 20170916 on board with stratonz boeffla, magisk v14 and nano open gapps, and wow this is crazy. Had PacRom for awhile and that was marvelous also but oh boy, you rodman01 rock. You've saved many euros for me by supporting this device. Thank you! And my son thanks also!

Which modem to use

Hello guys,

I tried all of the modems mentioned here but i still can't get the SIM card working. My S3 I9305 was originally on Optus network and I even tried to use the modem from kitkat stock rom, but still the same.
Any idea?

If you have international i9305, you have to flash latest modem (from KitKat) like one of those:
XXUFOA1
XXUFOI1
XXUFPE1
XXUFPA1

Hello all,

Massive thanks to @rodman01 for giving us so much choice and keeping our 5 year old device alive.
Been on MM for a while until Xposed was sorted for N. Just a few questions as it may be an N thing. I did all the flashing yesterday so all files are of the latest available.

I installed latest version of this rom (after complete wipes, even internal and ext cards) then straight away installed open gapps nano, let device boot.
Q 1 - I didn't see 'android is upgrading' or 'android is starting apps' pops during the initial boot, is this a problem? or has it been done away with because of the changes in N?
Q 2 - I didn't get a setupwizard upon initial boot either. Is this a problem?

Ref to Q1:
its normal since android N, that you cannot see it anymore. Its not visible anymore.
Ref to Q2:
usually, and especially after a clean and new installation, the setup wizard should appear.
A problem is this not really, you can make all settings also without wizard. Beside the google app backup restore. For that I haven't found a possibility without wizard.

Changed my wife's i9305 from RR-N-v5.8.5-final to this aicp_i9305_n-12.1-rodman01-20170916. Rest of her system configuration remained unchanged i.e. flashed Magisk v14, boeffla-kernel-6.1-beta3-boeffla-stratonz_beta8-i9305.recovery, microG (powered by NanoMod-microG-14.7.20171115), rovo89's xposed-v88.2-sdk25-arm and all applications she had on her device before.
AICP v12.1 is very smoothly running, no reboots for at least now two days, working well with the mentioned Boeffla kernel, remarkably well customisable (like RR). For my wife, AICP is now the daily driver on her device; I personally still tend to use RR-M-v5.7.4-Sammy but to be honest if I was to move to Nougat I could decide to use RR or AICP.

i cant understand what is Micro G.. i read topic on forum, but dont understand whats benefits having that on mobile..
and also i can congratulate, using old S3 as daily driver in Germany is really like driving oldtimer vehicle ;D

Been using the ROM for awhile its great, massive thanks for keeping our device alive.
I recently made a call and opted to use the speaker phone and at full volume I could just hear the other person.
How can I adjust max volume for the speaker phone?

Unfortunately, but on latest AICP bluetooth doesn't work. I can't connect (pair) with 2 my phones - new Xiaomi and pretty old Sony Ericsson. In both cases they detects S3 but can't send anything.
I set all permissions for bluetooth/memory apps.

On LOS works.
