AICP
Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

  • Same as CM-14.1
  • You tell... :p

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Nougat. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

How to flash:

  • Don't do it if you don't know it
  • ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source.

PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

Thank you SO much @Adrian DC for bringing AICP 12.1 to the Xperia SP!

Just finished installing the rom, took about 10 minutes to boot up, and its running perfectly. A few "...has stoppped" messages were displayed (for TTS and SystemUI) while setting it up, but after the set-up it was all gone. Rom feels really smooth and responsive. Multi-window works perfectly.
Overall, great rom and perfect for a daily driver. I've attached a few screenshots for those who haven't tried it yet. Thank you again, AdrianDC. You da man.

P.S.: The lock screen shows the AM/PM in huge letters, but that can be disabled from the AICP customization menu.

Same issue like in old builds AOSP: SetupWizard crashes... In AICP RAM memory fix is not working (for 1024 MB devices)? Or I do anything wrong?

You must wipe the cache, dalvik cache, system, and data partitions through TWRP recovery, and then proceed to install the rom .zip and gapps.zip.
Wiping internal storage was unnecessary!

Since CM12 I thought this is a bit of an unfair business: Adrian DC is he's doing all the hard work, all the scientific research, and the custom ROM developers steal the crown just by adding some buttons and bling. Now, the king claimed his crown!
The best Xperia SP ROM ever. Chapeau, AdrianDC.

Fix for Network Error!

I have clean flash this ROM. but i'm facing "No Sim Card" error. I tried rebooting no success. when i flash other ROM ( like StryFlex Marshmallow v2.2 / Stock C5303_12.0.A.2.254 ) sim is working . no success with this also http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/general/how-to-fix-network-baseband-missing-imei-t2865378. Is it bug?

I just flashed [7.1.0] AOSP . Sim is detecting & mobile data is working in that rom. it's seems i have problem with CM14 Roms. is there any way to fix this base-band gone missing AICP? i really want to use AICP 7.1.

Try the method posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...-xperia-sp-t3461738/post69585332#post69585332

I am disabling AICP Nougat releases.

Last sources updated for the last release from today, includes my Lights Effects from LineageOS.

Already handling too much projects and not participating / using AICP at all since more than a year.
Last users I knew on Huashan and who I kept it alive for are no longer on it.

If a maintainer wants to take it up, not a problem at all as long as it's properly synced and tested.

I guess it's a good time to invite all users to read this : https://plus.google.com/115015009651694560786/posts/6maZJszPyx3

I am the original requester on making AICP rootless as for RR, mostly for the fact it was killing Sony 8960 devices.
if you want, you have the right to blame me for that (for the other devices), but I am convinced it is a good move for all devices as done since the start on LineageOS.
    8
Thanks for your effort, but please do mention that you've used the BootBridge Mod.

P.S.: I know you've mentioned "this zip", but elaborating it is better ;)

Anyone who's having problem with magisk can use my zip. I made this zip compatible with our Xperia SP. Enjoy!

    link here

As already mentioned, please avoid using someone's hard work as your own fix,
especially since here it involves downloading my BootBridge, renaming the target zip to install.zip and replace it,
without proper explaining, credits & links for others to actually do it again.

Also as seen in my BootBridge thread, I don't like sharing premade zips, including SuperSU or here Magisk, because:
    1. You/I/we are not the authors of that secondary tool and shouldn't give ourselves the right to include it and reshare it without credits
    2. By including something at one date, you're blocking interested users from downloading its original future updates
    3. You're avoiding users to get a potential BootBridge update I might do in the future
    4. The other users don't really know what you did, where it came from and how to redo it by themselves

I'd prefer linking to BootBridge & Magisk threads, everything's explained as much & and as easy as possible,
and I even added a section for Magisk recently so it's really not complicated & not hidden at all.

    Thanks for your understanding.
