I did get the same issue with AICP 5.0 release version. Now I'm on AICP 6.0 release build with the layest RedKernel. I did not see the problem of the disappearing SD card anymore. Maybe worth a try?

Hello, I'd like to try this ROM but I have three questions first :
— is root build in or may I flash it after ROM andand gapps ?
— the v6 release link give me a 404 error. Is there only nightly for v500 ?
— AICP Gapps looks quite old, may I use PA gapps instead ?

Thanks.

This one is becoming more stable (nightly 14/10). Few crashes of kang settings and crashes of system settings on lower dpi (268 and 245). On dpi 245 I have more crashes than on 268 ... I'm going to try the nightly from today (16/10)...
Nightly 16/10 is very stable. No FC for 4-5h of settings and playing with the tablet. I'm impressed. Thank you!

I got a notification for a 7.0 nightly and downloaded it. Now my AICP OTA crashes every time I try to open it. Any ideas? I'm not even seeing a 7.0 in the Nightlies...

EDIT: well, it's not a nightly, so that explains that. Still not sure why my OTA is crashing. I guess I'll just update manually.

Same problem here, AICP_OTA crashes on opening. Cleared data and cache of the app, but problem remains. In every other way the AICP 7.0 Release is amazing.

I tried switching to ART but now my GPad's screen won't turn on...
I think the tablet is off, however when I press both volume buttons and connect it to my PC I hear the Windows connection sound followed by the disconnection one 3 seconds later.
I can't access recovery either and the weirdest thing is that I can access Download Mode by holding the two buttons and plugging in the charger but the tablet turns off when I unplug it even though it's charged.
When it's charging, the screen can turn on but won't get past the LG screen so no recovery access...
I have tried everything and I am pretty desperate here :(
If anyone has encountered something similar please tell me, thanks :)

I too, get the AICP OTA update crashing problem. This was happening in the 6.0 version as well, and is still happening in the 7.0.
Another side-effect is the disappearing microSD card has come back again after updating to 7.0.

Here's the funny thing: when the microSD card disappears, the AICP OTA works! In 6.0, OTA crashed very often, but every once in a while, it would actually work (unable to recreate the conditions to make it work, seems to be random). That's how I managed to keep doing OTA updates.

I'm going to do a clean install of 7.0 this time, see if it helps. I did an OTA from 6.0 to 7.0, so there might have been issues with the upgrade.

I found the cause of the AICP OTA crashing (at least for me):

AICP OTA will crash if the device is in Landscape mode. If the device is in Portrait mode, AICP OTA will run.
If AICP is running while in Portrait mode and the device is tilted to Landscape mode, AICP OTA will also crash. Luckily AICP OTA is able to resume the download when restarted again.

If other folks can test and confirm it maybe the Devs can release a fix.
