[ROM] AICP for T31x (Unofficial) (Nougat)

New builds are up !

As january patch was not implemented last time I built from AICP source back a few days ago, I followed last Android security bulletin to edit the code related to the listed vulnerabilities. This way you get january patch included within these builds.

As always, backing-up before installation is recommended. I won't be responsible for any bricked device or the fact that your favourite team could have lost yesterday night!

Have downloaded and installed. Prior to install, used Titanium to make backup of apps; used TWRP to make a backup of the previous image.

Now:
- Google Play app is missing
- Have tried to install apps using play.google.com - receive message telling me that the apps is waiting to install
- tried to revert back to old image using TWRP, received message from TWRP that it could not write to the storage in order to complete the install.
- using the File Manager app included, tried to navigate to the System folder to make changes to the permissions file - but I have no access to the System file.

could go on with more details.

Need some help to crawl out from this mess. Suggestions please?

Texas.. Have you considered reflashing the rom and gapps? Do it. Also, verify the md5 of both files. Perhaps restoring from titanium backup is a mistake. A lot of roms warn against doing that, and perhaps this is one of those.

Many thanks for this work! I use a t315 and with this Rom I can use 1. Time GPS on my Tab.. EVERY OTHER Custum Rom is crashing if GPS is activated or LTE dosn't work. I tested It on 3 different t315 with all CR based on gr8nole

I just built AICP for our devices, and it seems like I would have to edit the code again this time in order to have the chance we get last security patch. Indeed, it seems like AICP stopped updating and maintaining Nougat. See here for more details.

As it's too much time consuming editing the code regarding Android security bulletins, therefore there will be no more unofficial AICP Nougat builds from me.

thanks a lot for your great work. I am sorry that this rom is stoped now. On the sm-t315 this rom was the best of all customer rom, with all other version i got the same problem: if i enable GPS the system will crash after a short time and reboot.

Hi, i've just installed aicp_lt013g_n-12.1-UNOFFICIAL-20180128 with open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20180401
The telephone calls has issue, the speaker is metallic, noisy, disturbed. the same problem i had with LineageOS 14.1
All the rest works fine, but I would greatly appreciate if you solve this problem, since I use this device as a telephone. thank you

Calling (Galaxy Tab Sm-T315)

I was wondering if someone else can confirm only anonymous calls comes visible on screen , able to answer.. and non-anonymous isn't registered at all.. when people call non-anonymous they say telephone is ringing but there is nothing on screen and registered at the call logs...

Fresh clean (non dirt) install AICP 12, android 7 and even all settings standard, with no changes.


I wonder what I can do about that..
