I definitely did a format... I had to type "yes" to perform the format. Is there a way to remove magazine unlock without formatting and installing the rom again?

First, thanks for getting this out!!! Everything is working so far for me. Anyway to remove the Chinese below the time/date on the lock screen?

To completely remove the Chinese text the theme needs to be decompiled (winrar or 7-zip will work) and the Chinese text for each photo needs to be removed in each theme. Or we can take the themes from the L29 and replace the AL00 ones and the Chinese text will be gone. Or else disable the magazine unlock.

I must ask, before unlocking BL and all other requirements fulfil, what is gain of this? Is bova possible to be home launcher? Is there any way to get any info od, for example, viber notification on screen off?

Thanks this worked, but I didn't have to decompile anything with winrar or 7-zip. Just navigated to each theme folder (internal sd->Huawei->Themes->.cache->theme name.hwt) and used a text editor to remove the 2 lines with Chinese text from each description.xml file. Nothing needed to be done to any photo either.

I just did the update to the new version of the rom... instructions were spot on!!! Thanks. Can the stock app for phone be posted, I don't care for the Google Phone app because it's missing the Block/report spam option for numbers. I do have both Caller ID & spam and Filter spam calls enabled. It was just so easy with the stock app, just press and hold the call you wanted to block and select Add to Blacklist.

From unlocking bootloader to flashing the ROM. Don't be too harsh on me please. This is my first huawei phone. cheers!

Any possibility of making a ROM from the perspective of privacy that fully removes everything Chinese from the firmware up like a Cyanogen mod for both the Chinese and International Mate 20 X versions?

I have an L29. I've been waiting for my unlock code for a few weeks now. Then I can get my hands on the latest KangVIP ROM and pick it apart like usual....that is if I ever get my unlock code. There's no way I'm paying $100 for it.

Hi there. I see that this ROM is mainly for the Chinese version but is there a ROM yet or will there be one soon that both works well AND 100% removes all Chinese apps and fingerprints from the firmware on up? Or that asking for too much.
