I can't flash this ROM at the moment but has anyone manage to change screen density that does not get reset on reboot? Found this on another device forum but obviously it's not there on our device. If anyone can point me where these lines are located will be much appreciateed.

Changelog
1.5 (198): This REQUIRES you to be on software version .198 first. See third post for instructions.
3/23/2019
-updated to firmware .198 with February 2019 security patch.
Thank you for excellent work. Now, when unlock codes are available again, there are many new candidates for your rom. A lot of them is on .200 firmware with March security patch. Hoping for update.

I was able to change overall UI once but when I went to change it again nothing gets applied... been trying for hours now but I can't replicate it.

edit:

so system root - product - etc - prop - locap.prop

ro.sf.lcd_density=XXX
- smaller value for XXX the smaller the system UI. That's status bar, notification panel/icon.

I got issue though. I probably changed something that if I go higher than 440 in Dev. settings smallest width my camera UI gets broken. I can higher than 500 before.

Add qemu.sf.lcd_density=xxx to the vendor/build.prop and that should change your density system wide.

Finally got my phone unlocked from ministry, for a total of around $16. And rooted and got twrp and installed this ROM. Thank you to the developer and everyone else who went into doing all this hardwork. Now I have a phone which is living up to its potential. YUSSSS.

Thanks Ministry for getting my unlock code to me in minutes. :)

Hi Guys bare with me on this as I am still learning how to do things the Huawei way.

Let's say this is the first time I'm installing the ROM and already have TWRP as my eRecovery. I just go straight boot to TWRP then flash the ROM?

And if I'm coming from the previous bersion of the ROM and wanted to update, I basically need to flash the FULL BASE first then proceed to flashing the latest ROM?

Kind of

First time flashers should still make sure they're on the firmware for the ROM version they're flashing.

Updaters should follow the same steps as a first time flasher with the only difference being no factory reset is needed.

I recommend using erecovery over manual to update to the latest firmware before flashing with TWRP, as updates usually come with two files, the second of which will likely fail will nocheck or emui flasher. So you'd only be partially updated. The instructions for updating with erecovery are the ones I'd go with, then proceed to flash the ROM with TWRP.

What am I missing?

I was in 195. Updated to 198 using the old manual way. I tried the old emui recovery method again to see if it would download 200 since I was already on 198 but it didn't and tried to re-enter download 198.
So I flashedd 1.6 rom despite not being on 200 because where am I suppose to get 1.5 rom??

Now I'm up and running but I seem to be missing Google Play store.

EDIT: Figured it out and I'm rooted again.

Thanks!

I finally got the latest ROM installed and want to root again. Do I just repeat the standard rooting process of booting to Bootloader and flashing patched recovery ramdisk then proceed to magisk manager or there's more or special step I need to do?

edit: I'd like to add that there's no google play included in the ROM. I have download the .apk online.

EDIT: Please disregard. I went ahead and reinstall everything from scratch.

Hey Guys,

So I just discovered that my call function is not working properly. They can here me fine but I can't hear them... not even load speaker mode. I don't even hear the ringing. I went to flash the stock dialer but still the same... auto record function works and it recorded my voice but not the voice on the other line

Edit: Tried to dirty flashed the ROM to see if it would fix it but it didn't. Any help would be appreciated.

I want to know that too... is there like repo where we can download full stock rom of every update?

---------- Post added at 03:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:34 AM ----------

Is this going to be an issue? Because when I was trying to fix my Call issue I went and flash that full base zip using EMUI flasher and I think missed the button combo to boot to bootloader mode and I got stuck to rebooting now.... Can't boot to bootloader only erecocery.

So I decided to do full factory reset then proceeded with rooting, installing twrp then the ROM v1.6.

And now after reading your post, I found that mine says I'm on. 195 but with March 1 security patch and it seems fine.
When I go to Software update I get .198 full 3GB update... not .200.

I think I'm going to download and install all update upto .200

Where can I download the .200 full base? The one in the third post is .198 I think, as after I did the update, it shows as on .198 software not .200.

The update still seems to be rolling out across different regions so a the full base zip can't be downloaded through the servers yet. I barely got the .200 this morning.

On another note, for general reference. Do Not flash the 1.6 ROM on top of .198 update as it will create issues. Always make sure to follow the directions and only flash the ROM on the right firmware stated. In this case the most recent is .200

Yes, I thought I was flashing the .200 base with the 1.6 ROM. Is there any way of checking which base it is? Also, if the Huawei message to update to .200 appears on my phone, is there any way to download it without it automatically installing to my phone?

The 1.6 ROM seems to be working fine with the .198 base, although i would prefer the .200 base ?

Where would I go to download from the servers?

Thanks

If it shows up in your system update, then use erecovery to download and install it. Use the second method on the 2nd post.
