Flatronics, my device is bone stock ! Bootloader is Locked, running Stock Official ROM 9.0.198
Am i still able to Flash Stock firmware from eRecovery ?
I'm lost, I think I misunderstood the other guy's post when he said he flashed stock ROM ROM eRecovery. But whatever, I believe the only way you can flash stockrom eRecovery is getting the update thru OTA. Unless he did it using EMUI flasher.
Also all this time I thought you have already unlocked your Bootloader.. ?

hmm, stock recovery will detect I have a modified device and will prompt an OTA update of a FULL ROM instead of the patch only. Unless I'm wrong...
Hi flatronics... i have seen so many tutorials on Youtube regarding the Stock ROM and all the people said you can Flash Stock ROM with the following command : Volume Up + Volume Down & Power Button ...
It's something like dload Folder placed on the root of your Internal Storage...
Also, the user Youtube_llorente here on the forum revive his Mate 20 X with Unlocked Bootloader...
You said there is no way you can Flash Stock ROM... that means if i brick the phone, there is no way to revive it ? am i missing something here ?

It seems to work on the OpenAOSP ROMs, but the dev ops CODECs et al are still locked on the native ROMs.
How about tap2wake which seems to work on the native ROM?
RE: the "important software system patch" after 9.1 (with TWRP/Magisk and Transformation) - I tried flashing back stock recovery to the ramdisk_recovery partition; then reboot and try to download and install. I keep getting "Download failed" no matter what. Tried on WiFi, tried on LTE, tried with VPN - what am I doing wrong? The phone won't stop complaining that I need to download and install the patch.

UPDATE: I used Firmware Finder to download the patch update and then used EMUI Flasher to flash it successfully. It turns out that when I do that it updates/overwrites the recovery image as well so no more Magisk. Once I repatch the system image with Magisk through TWRP, it starts bugging me to download the patch again! Oh well.
If anyone else has a different outcome and/or solution, please let me know.

Any help i am in emui 9.1 and mayisk not booting ..stuck at booting now forever
Read the OP. Sometimes it won't boot until a few times. Just keep restarting it until it eventually boots

Has anyone had a messages for Web outage. I know there are a number of factors. Clearing cash, going back a rev, removing via Titanium reinstalling, etc. to no avail.
