So is it safe to flash with EMUI flasher on top of 120 Globalized ROM, or should I wait for an updated ROM customization package?

I doubt it. When I flashed it some items in settings were not working. Battery setting was not working for example.

After installing this, the recording of conversations has returned (unless it is recorded without flashing it also works), but I lost the top bar with the time and icons. Can I ask for help in how to fix it?

I thought there were a remote team of 3 who compiled this great rom. I'm well aware that freeza was the motor of the group. But I sincerely hope that not everyone of them got rid of the phone and that there is still enough potential among other devs to upgrade the rom on the base and knowledge that has been created already. With Freeza we have been trying to successfully Globalize the newest update .123 with no success. We can't extract the image due to EROFS. Root works but breaks phonecalls and messaging rendering the phone aspect useless. We can't even mount the necessary folders to complete the globalization. Until there is a tool available to extract EROFS, an update is highly unlikely.

.120 didn't have EROFS as those were beta builds. The official.123 has it now.

The problem isn't that it can't be rooted. The problem is we can't switch the necessary files because we can't extract them do to them being Read Only.

System cannot be write only read erofs but magisk and module all work fine thats enough

Good enough for you. But the users want an updated rom which we can't provide without being able to RW to the EROFS system

Hi, i have a question. I installed magisk, but i'm not being able to hide some apps, when i press the checkbox to hide, after leave the magisk, the app is unchecked, any hint?

Guys, does anything change regarding new updates transform rom with magisk 19.3 which supports EROFS? Is there still anybody on the development side of Mate 20x? If I understood lasts posts correctly, freeza's still active.

I regret that many people abandoned this phone in a sudden panic. Actually, I had never believed that Huawei would have lost Android, there are so much undefined rights and relations about it.

I really want to prolong ownership of this phone, 5g is nowhere really near the operational phase and I can't find a phone that better suit my needs. And I don't really see it coming. After this expirience, I can't stand insufficient battery, small and rounded screen, single sim, basic camera, obsolete SoCs, slow updates etc

But I really like to have Q, there is a lot of improvements which matters to me and I expect even more from EMUI 10.

I'm prepared to pledge a donation or bounty if someone skilled enough overtakes further development toward EMUI10 transform rom for China Mate 20x. And I believe I'm not the only one.
