Guys, does anything change regarding new updates transform rom with magisk 19.3 which supports EROFS? Is there still anybody on the development side of Mate 20x? If I understood lasts posts correctly, freeza's still active.

I regret that many people abandoned this phone in a sudden panic. Actually, I had never believed that Huawei would have lost Android, there are so much undefined rights and relations about it.

I really want to prolong ownership of this phone, 5g is nowhere really near the operational phase and I can't find a phone that better suit my needs. And I don't really see it coming. After this expirience, I can't stand insufficient battery, small and rounded screen, single sim, basic camera, obsolete SoCs, slow updates etc

But I really like to have Q, there is a lot of improvements which matters to me and I expect even more from EMUI 10.

I'm prepared to pledge a donation or bounty if someone skilled enough overtakes further development toward EMUI10 transform rom for China Mate 20x. And I believe I'm not the only one.

We've exhausted all options trying to get the newest EROFS version of the firmware globalized but everything has failed. Until there is a tool that is able to read and write EROFS, there is absolutely nothing that can be done to globalize let alone have a fully working root option. Freeza has already moved on to another device as have all others who were actively working on trying to globalize the newest firmware. It's a shame such a great device was crippled by this new file system.

Flash stock erecovery, boot into erecovery and download the latest ROM package. Or just flash the full update zip through emui flasher and let it finish.

You can update,but you will lose all customization and globalization and even root. Freeza doesn't have the mate anymore so unfortunately, no further updates will be made as EROFS makes it impossible.

You can't install TWRP or root on .123 since it's read only. TWRP can't read EROFS.

Yeh i know, but since Freeza is out of the game, and others devs are having trouble, i'll stay in .123 patch 1 *this update was divided in 2 patchs*. I already installed the updates, i'll stay in official for now. It's a shame huawei block in this way the system

I dont use gpay here in china and you need unlock BL to root

OK, I can test gpay by myself.
The bootloader on my Mate 20 X is already unlocked, so I'm interested in the root instructions for 123.

I also installed 123 firmware and globalized 120, it work great!
But I installed 123 firmware and installed "123 update patch" and globalized 120, it didn't work...
