So we wait?

I downloaded that update

I almost write you that this is the best ROM until now, but the slow motion issue on Motorola camera still

Is there new performance on kernel???

Regards

I'll wait to new updates

Thx for that ROM

Yes please wait...

There some improves to performance the ROM is really fast.

But for me there is no system sounds, it plays music but doesn't play a sound if receive a call SMS, or any notifications.

I'm looking for a fix, will report when have it.

Dirty Flashed the 16th September update on the 11th September one.Chrome would crash/refuse to work and videos on FB app refused to play.
Rolled back to 11th September and things are fine. Waiting for the bug fixed update.
This is the best ROM so far and a big thanks to @baybutcher27 ?

I know my bad, many bug's, problem with permissions.

Many updates add to the ROM, and one thing get screwed... already fix it.

Do I lost performance if I install xposed???

I ask you because in 9th September ROM I lost some smooth

In theory no lost of performance.

But use the last alpha 4 app and flash the xposed-v74-sdk22-arm.zip

One thing... Modules may cause lost of performance, with i don't know, probably the one that run on the background, and those that improve battery...

I use some modules and didn't notes lost of performance.

Don't confuse lost of performance, whit your device running hot, if the device is hot, it will clock down and you will note that you may have a lag in very heavy thread, like games.

Maybe set the performance config to performance mod may help, there is a new performance config, in the setting>configurations>performance, will be on the 09-17, give it a try and let me know.

Perfect, No issues so far with the 17th September update. Though I needed to flash gapps to get play store, play services etc back.
Thanks a ton for your hard work and dedication @baybutcher27.
its sad to see that Motorola seems to have abandoned us ATM for buying their top tier handset :(
They can at least release the 5.1.1 kernel code for this device if not a full ROM. Hoping against the tide for Android 6 Marshmallow on the Moto Maxx/Turbo.

Yes the ROM and Gapps share files, if you reflash or update the ROM is need to reflash gapps after (other zip too like xposed and any other you use). That is in the OP update instructions...

I hope they release it soon, will be a big upgrade for us (custom ROM users) if at least the kernel is released.

Outstanding update

One more thing:

could we use another governors instead of interactive?

Regards

Yes, but those stock gov, are really limited, interactive supposed to be the best for day to day, and noop or cfq for IO.

Next build tomorrow or Monday, it will have new gov's, and some minor kernel twink... I have started playing with quark kernel :D.

I tried using ondemand gov, but I was getting random reboots, so I went back to interactive and random reboots stopped.

A couple of hrs ago, I decided to flash NX rom kernel image, just to see if it would work, and to my surprise it did. I'm currently using RR rom latest build 09-17 with NX kernel and everything is running great for now. The reason I decided to do this is because I was getting the best performance and battery life with that rom, but RR is the rom that I like the most, so maybe by doing this I could have the best of both worlds.

If @baybutcher27 believes this info to be helpful for his kernel build, I would gladly report my progress.

Thanks again @baybutcher27 for his work!

And what kind of governor did you use???

I use RR and I want the same

I want the best performance and battery too

All custom ROM for quark, share the some kernel, one bootimage working on other custom ROM is very normal, i don't believe NX use a modify version of kernel, so the kernel is 09/17 is the some kernel of NX, have you try ondemand now too?

I never had a reboot, and never use ondemand, i think you have a conflict some app some module causing it, or a not up to date app. or missing busybox, I not shore but the only ting missing on the ROM is busybox and for some kernel app is need.

I have switch to ondemand and will see if get a reboot. If i get i will removed it.

I have random reboot when I'm using ondemand gov too...

Maybe its time to delete that gov and maybe you could add ondemandx

I don't know which gov it's the best

But I want a good balance between performance and multitasking over good battery

Thanks for the info @baybutcher27! I haven't tried ondemand gov on NX kernel. I'm using the default kernel gov (intelliactive). Maybe the "intelliactive" gov is what giving the results that I want...
I saw the screenshot you posted of the different kernel governors you are adding to your kernel for the new RR rom update. The "intelliactive" gov will apparently be included with the addition of other govs. That's awesome! I'll definitely try the new rom update and kernel you are working on!

I also have one random reboot using ondemand, the weird thing is i can't reproduce it just hapen and if you try to make the same steps again noting happens really hard to log. Have ondemand removed, will see if i can add another like it gov but not today.

SmartassV2 is really a performance improve gov, need to see if is not too much performance and too little battery., but if is intelliactive should fill that gap.
@david_tripo if you have a time and test that NX bootimage, on RR using ondemand and have a reboot or error let me know, because i will look if is a ROM problem not a Kernel one...

@baybutcher27 - 10 minutes after changing to ondemand gov had a random reboot while using chrome. Switched back to intelliactive (no random reboots using that gov since yesterday).

The problem it's the kernel

Well, it's good that we have your support

Instead of ondemand governor maybe you could install ondemandx

We wait for your new ROM
