I already use this way ,just wondering....because the device is ... running fine , but could be better with some of the latest updates of rr ....

If this is the last rom, then im more than grateful for how long @fgl27 has maintained this. Im happy with a fully functional last rom. But i would love it if he were to keep doing updates to the kernel for security patches.

After unlocking the device(pin) the device automatically gets lock after a second or two.

Same here. After I unlock the second time it stays unlocked. It happens randomly. Makes the lock noise as if I hit the power button

there is a featuring, settings > display > pocket detection

have you try to disable it, it's a little slow to detect that the device is already on and unlocked, and locks it back

check if that helps.

1 month already and no updates ....
And rr 7.0.2 is out for a while

some day when is less buged, last I try has a bugged that may prevent the use of the device I can share that.
as the issue is random I can released it.

Some day they fix the issue and I share it.

Hey all, first off I want to thank fgl and the devs for the great ROM, most of the little issues have been ironed out. That said, I've got some strange issues going on and I can't seem to find much info on them outside this thread.

First, at least once a day the whole phone will randomly freeze completely with the screen on and can only be fixed by holding down the power button until reset. This often happens while video is playing on screen somewhere but not always. Second, the screen will shut off and the phone will lock as though the power button's been hit as I'm using the phone and I have no reason to think the switch itself is going bad. Finally, apps will take upwards of 10 seconds to open or switch to/from, but I'm guessing this is more of an android pie issue since our phones are getting old and it's only some apps.

I've got the kernel auditor settings at default and everything else is behaving wonderfully. I can't link in post for some reason but here are my logs, just take out the spaces around the dot:

Yep, it's off and I've never turned it on. I'll give it a toggle to see if maybe it was stuck somehow?

Went to use the phone this morning, it's been on since yesterday. I hit the power button and only the soft keys lit up, hit it again and they turned off. Hit it again, only the right half of the lock screen showed up, then the whole thing froze up completely. I've had it lock up on my morning alarm once too. Could this even be a ROM issue at this point?

Yoiks! Never heard of anything like that! Sounds like a screen thing, but that's not a definite.

Clean the cache of the launcher, maybe even re-install it?

I have too, but I ignore it, isn't a big problem. I wait next release without problem.

Dare I suggest trying a 3rd party launcher? Been rockin' Nova ever since IceCream. Up to date, still, and quite solid. Packed with features!

Phone kept freezing at random and I'm sick of it, so I did a clean wipe today. Loaded up the fresh installation and I kept getting a google play services error during setup, so I went back in to reflash. Turns out trying to format the data partition in TWRP threw an error like "error opening /data/data/com.google.android.gms/shared_prefs (too many files)" and it didn't completely reformat. under that directory there was a seemingly infinite number of blank, empty directories going nowhere. I went back into the wipe option and repaired the partition and that did the trick. Things seem quite a bit more stable and quick for the time being but time will tell.

Phone had a complete random shutdown yesterday evening and the whole thing froze with the screen on just now while using Ebay. Seriously considering downgrading to Marshmallow at this point.
