I have just had this GN3 for a few days and was lucky enough to get a factory refurb that still had JB, so was not locked down. This is by far the best rom I have tried so far but have not wanted to jump up to KK then back down again if not happy. Fear may have something to do with it :) So now that this roms dev seems to be working on a KK rom I am kinda excited. I will assume since he is heading in that direction there must be an advantage but I have read mixed reviews. For those who have been there, what great new things can we expect? I am coming from an original GN N7000 running Asylum rom which is KK, but I do not see where there is much difference between KK and JB personally. My N7000 does have a feature I really like which is a double tap of the status bar to sleep, which is cool but I think that is not relevant to KK. I did read that the GN3 had some issues with GPS on JB but I think devs have mostly worked that out. Anyway, Big THANKS to the dev of this rom and looking forward to the next ver.

Cant go wrong with jb or kk with rerick and from my previous experience with this rom, it would still be the same, he wasnt kidding from the op, the customizations you could do will keep you busy for weeks and more. And very battery friendly i must add.

Yes I am working on a KK version. I found a base that I am happy with and is very stable. But as everyone knows with my JB ROM it took time to get everything added. So with my first release there will be things that are missing, but will be added over time. One thing that I haven't added yet is menu to kill, its proving to be a major pita. However I will get it right eventually. I am mostly trying to get the theming options done. I have one last thing to work on and that's the quick panel toggles. They are proving to be very difficult in KK and it has taken weeks for our team to get them working on the S5, and getting them working on Note 3 is even more difficult mostly because the SystemUI is very sensitive and picky about how you do things. Hopefully before I go back to work I will have v1 up for you guys. I'm running it now and its smooth. Haven't had any FC or major errors yet. Been a couple of days. I spent 2 days working on getting our ROM Customizer and OTA to be compatible with safe strap, and now it is. It will actually reboot directly to recovery now with widget and flashing and will run open recovery scripts. This will allow other aroma like features to run with flashing an updated version of the ROM.

I know I already asked for this but can't seem to find the answer

Are we going to get independent carrier font type and font size by any chance?

And if we could adjust clock font type and font size independently also would be a bonus!

Maybe date format control like (E, d)?

Just curious ...

I would be happy with a JB or KK version as long as I could use it longer than 3 days at a time?

I as for a lot...

So I will let Bubba axe isur dun yet?

This is a common issue with SS now a days. I've seen a couple of posts in different ROMs about it. I don't think it's ROM related. Try to uninstall recovery uninstall app then redo it again.

94% ram usage is not a bad thing in Android. These aren't windows or mac computers. Android runs most efficiently when ram usage is high. The more frequently used apps in ram the better because it uses less CPU to load the app when you go back to it. If android needs more resources, it will automatically free up more memory. This is why it takes longer to load an app after its been killed or removed from ram than if it is stored there.

As far as your recovery issue is concerned, if you are trying to restore a backup, and it has been placed in a different location than where recovery is looking, then you will need to choose the storage location in the recovery. When you click on restore there is a black bar that tells you where the recovery is looking. If there's nothing there press on the black bar and change locations. If that still doesn't work, try what Kalz said.

1st, I really love this rom and probably going to be a bit reluctant to change, but so I have things straight in my head.

1. I am on MJ5 firmware now and as I understand I can move to NC2 and run a KK rom, but can I come back to MJ5 or do I stay on NC2 if I want to come back to this rom?

2. I also understand that TWRP 3.72 only works with KK and 3.71 only works with JB, but will 3.71 work with either of the firmwares above? I think this question will actually be answered once the above is answered.

Hammer...here is the link to upgrade to 4.4 and here is the link to dowgrade from 4.4 to 4.3.

Both of those can be found in the AT&T Galaxy Note 3 General forum. If you stick to those two, then you will be able to go back and forth between 4.3 and 4.4. However, I get the feeling that once RErick releases the Alliance 4.4 ROM then there will be no need for you to ever go back to 4.3.
