Directly flash boot & system.img by twrp...after complete says "no os install"

It can't directly flash via TWRP for yet , we wait flashable zip file
(It can flash with adb)

Try dd if=/sdcard/rom.img of=/dev/block/by-name/system

rom.img is img file, you will need to change this in comand. Run it from terminal emulator.

Try dd if=/sdcard/rom.img of=/dev/block/by-name/system.

Do not try this with fastboot images. They are in sparse format, not raw.
You can flash image via dd or TWRP if it is raw partition image.
Use simg2img tool to convert fastboot images to raw images.

You can also use my script to build flashable zip from fastboot images.

Dont sideload the ROM, you can't flash the ROM with stock recovery. Unlock bootloader.
Use TWRP Recovery to flash.

idk, but while in the process of installing gapps via TWRP 3.0.x.x, stuck at 99% then softbrick

I got the stuck too. But I know the workaround:
- After you get stuck, go turn off manually. Then don't turn it normally (if you do it, it will show USB Logo)!
- Go to the Bootloader Mode/Fastboot Mode (Power + Up Volume).
- Select Factory Reset (It will bring you to the TWRP, and it will do its job automatically).
- Wait for the boot finished and BOOM! Success~

Thanks for bringing Oreo to Asus Zenfone 5 ... Please keep the good work going... I have installed the latest Oreo onto my phone.. just to check how it working.. as we know there are some issues still.. but that was a good effort.. please keep us posted.. once you have any new updates..

Also I have some issues to report to you on the lineage OS 14.1 .in Asus Zenfone 5 .... Phone keeps hanging ... and also please let me know how to install the super su in this phone... Root Checker says "Sorry root access is not properly installed"... Please help me.

But I found the working su zip, and I put it to my Google Drive, you can find it here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/0ByG7TVDq19swNHVlR0JOaExjcEk?usp=sharing
You can try flashing from that ZIP, but if I'm not forgotten, it's called as "su-14.1-x86-signed". You can tell me if it works or not, feel free to ask bruh :victory:

Stock roms are best (subjective) in terms of battery performance. All other roms are quite ok, use them with features like Greenify, battery savers.

Lineage 14 is Nougat instead of Oreo, so you can flash

Lineage 14.1 is Nougat-build, not Oreo-build one. And that addonsu is for 14.1, so you can only flash on Nougat-build. :good:
