You just did fine maybe power off and on would be fine. Maybe the device is not capable of rebooting on its own.
Tell me how you just did it descriptively so that I could assist you if possible.

1, already the bootloader unlocked
2, excute the tool, which creates a file (cmdline)in internal storage
3, copy the file to d/osip folder ( already there exists cmdline named file, so overwrite the file)
4 , restart the phone
After these steps turn on the phone with usb logo like symbol and power off
I read the content from cmdline file created by using the tool
[acpi=off apm=off pnpbios=off nomodeset i915.modeset=0 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 idle=mwait]
I tried to check /proc/cmdline to identify the value of intel_idle.max_cstate, but that parameter not appear in the file.
