Yes, it should, neverthless if you cna upgrade offical android version and then flash. But it should'nt matter.
I don't really know what you mean by official, if your device is a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, then you can install this.
Also for any people wanting a microG version, here is a preview https://transfer.sh/nHBYS9/lineage-18.1-20220122-UNOFFICIAL-daisy.zip . Test it too and tell me if works.

I downloaded both the microg and beta versions and hoping to inform you in a few days after regularly testing. Thanks for your efforts.
I want to install this ROM, but it dont start after install.
I came from Stock.
Is something to consider?
I wipe in TWRP all, then go to install and take the zip.
But it doesnt start, i only see the blue circle runinng on the blue line.
Some ideas?
EDIT: Ok, now the ROM works, after 3rd install.
Now i get Error 70 installing stock opengapps, now i test it with mini.
EDIT2: stock and mini aren't working, nano did it for me

Unfortunately sir, neither of them booted. Stuck at boot screen. Waited enough and even tried the beta version twice. Moreover, I could take no logs since I couldn't find pstore directory.Thnaks in advance
Hmm, I assume that you tried different types of wipe and stuff since you know what pstore is? Anyway, thanks for the update, much appreciated.

Thanks for this, i've been searching all through the forum for the best rom and i'm wanting to install yours.
Is the TWRP 3.5.2_9-2 still good to use ? as i see there's 3.6.0_9-dees_troy-daisy.zip available.
Also i've seen people talking about encryption but can't tell what they mean by it and do i need it ?
And lastly how do you or others find the ram management with this ? as that's the main reason i'm wanting to change as i can't have 2 apps open at all now as it just reloads wheb i swap.

I might have a minor finding in the current release (first post). I can't get the notification light to pulse. It is either on, or it is off, no matter what I try to adjust for pulse speed and frequency (I tried all combinations).
Maybe you feel like having a check on it.

Yes, either twrp should be fine, ad for encryption, you can enablk/disable it, it doesn't really matter. RAM maangemenet is better I believe. After 5 minutes, it should boot fine for sure, try and do a factory reset in twrp, and then only boot the rom(also install gaaps after having booted into the rom).

I managed to work it out I think I forgot to format data.
It's so much faster then stock so thanks for that.
One small thing I've noticed is the media volume from the speaker when playing YouTube is not as loud when on maximum, I've looked through all the settings to see if there's a restriction on it but I can't find any.
Any idea ?

3Sorry, I realised that I forgot about the april update, anyhow, I'm working on the May one. Could someone test the May update out? The link is here: https://transfer.sh/5BPBgm/lineage-18.1-20220517-UNOFFICIAL-daisy.zip . It it works fine, you can keep on using it as it will get June's OTA when that comes around. Again, thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to test this build and provide feedback.1
This method worked for me. You cna update or not, it doesn't really make a difference. All in all backup in all cases to be sure. -

LineageOS 18.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11/R, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

- Download the latest build from here
- Download LinkBoi00's version of TWRP here
- Reboot to bootloader (adb reboot bootloader)
- Fastboot into TWRP recovery (fastboot boot twrp*.img)
- Do a factory reset in TWRP
- Flash the latest build of Lineage OS
- Boot into your new phone
Most of us will want the basic functionality like Google Play, Maps and others, therefore I recommend downloading Gapps. You choose your own, but I recommend OpenGapps. They are among the few that can survive OTA updates.
If you do this, I recommend booting into the new LineageOS first, then reboot to recovery, do a factory reset and then only flash the gapps. If you don't do this, the gapps won't install properly

This is a follow-up to the Lineage 17.1 ROM that I was working on. You cannot just upgrade from it to this via the system updater, you have to go through the process above. As said before, this is mostly possible due to Lyceris-chan, go support him. If you have any errors or questions feel free to ask in the thread. As for official status, might happen, probably not, I don't have enough time to make the push. As for MicroG, I plan to publish a build too, keep an eye out on xda. If you know what this is, then feel free to install it. This is the same ROM as above, but "debloated" of Google Services that are replaced with open-source alternatives. It mainly works the same, but most daily users will prefer the "normal version". This ROM has its own separate OTA engine, so it should receive updates over it too. You can download it here. The install process is very similar, just don't install Gapps at the end.
