Can i install this version on my mi a2 lite (official) device?
Will look into it, thanks for the feedback. Thanks a lot @reujea0
i had quite some problems with installing the rom but i think there were on my side. managed it finally with flashing stock rom from xiaomi with miflash and then flashing lineage afterwards and it worked.
its running stable and smooth. coming from lineage with android 8.1 (yea i know...) i notice differences and miss some things:
-battery consumption is higher. just a thing to accept or is there a possibility to tweak with different kernal etc?
-i miss wakeup display when receiving a notification? is there no implemented solution for it? android 8 had it? i bypassed it with a 3rd party app...
-my notification LED is not working properly. battery notification works fine but with messengers at the beginning i had no led and now its turned on all the time instead of blinking. also with email i get no led notification (k9 mail).
i saw there is lokal settings and app specific settings. but the only effect i get is no led or turned on led but no blinking?
-bluetooth connection is laggy, when watching a video or listening to musik with sound pairing over bluetooth i have leggs and moments where it seems like my internet connection is leggy or the mobile is out of reach for signal but its only 1m to the receiver and the internet connection is good.
thanks for your time!
I downloaded both the microg and beta versions and hoping to inform you in a few days after regularly testing. Thanks for your efforts. Also for any people wanting a microG version, here is a preview https://transfer.sh/nHBYS9/lineage-18.1-20220122-UNOFFICIAL-daisy.zip . Test it too and tell me if works.
FOR REGULAR USERS IF YOU DO NOT KNO WHAT MICROG IS, then this is not for you, feel free to use the normal rom, it will fit your needs better.
Hmm, I assume that you tried different types of wipe and stuff since you know what pstore is? Anyway, thanks for the update, much appreciated.
Could I get a couple of people to test the january OTA, nothing major normally. Please post feedback
IF YOU WANT A 100% GUARANTEED WORKING BUILD AND DON'T WANT TO TEST, DON't INSTALL WAIT FOR OTA OR NEW URL ON MAIN POST.
Thanks in advance for beta testers.
Yes, either twrp should be fine, ad for encryption, you can enablk/disable it, it doesn't really matter. RAM maangemenet is better I believe. After 5 minutes, it should boot fine for sure, try and do a factory reset in twrp, and then only boot the rom(also install gaaps after having booted into the rom).Hi @reujea0
Thanks for this, i've been searching all through the forum for the best rom and i'm wanting to install yours.
Is the TWRP 3.5.2_9-2 still good to use ? as i see there's 3.6.0_9-dees_troy-daisy.zip available.
Also i've seen people talking about encryption but can't tell what they mean by it and do i need it ?
And lastly how do you or others find the ram management with this ? as that's the main reason i'm wanting to change as i can't have 2 apps open at all now as it just reloads wheb i swap.
So i went ahead and flashed it and used the twrp above and it seemed to have gone ok and i've rebooted the system and i'm getting what looks like your loading screen with the curved bar, how long should the intial load last as it's been nearly 5 minutes.

Same for MicroG https://transfer.sh/k1JocU/lineage-18.1-20220518-UNOFFICIAL-daisy.zipSorry, I realised that I forgot about the april update, anyhow, I'm working on the May one. Could someone test the May update out? The link is here: https://transfer.sh/5BPBgm/lineage-18.1-20220517-UNOFFICIAL-daisy.zip . It it works fine, you can keep on using it as it will get June's OTA when that comes around. Again, thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to test this build and provide feedback.
This method worked for me. You cna update or not, it doesn't really make a difference. All in all backup in all cases to be sure.I read about all the pages (lots of info inside) and now I would like to install Lineage 18.1 (the 19.1 not for the moment) on an outdated CrDroid. I ask if the procedure is that, or should I then do some passage (ex. switch the A / B partition on installation or OTA update)?! The stock rom needs to be updated? However, I first proceed to back up the data on the phone on the PC and then reinsert them via USB. No need to install Gapps, Magisk etc. Thanks
