Unfortunately, with the latest update, I am getting a safety net error. In magisk, it just says SafetyNet API Error with basicIntegrity and ctsProfile showing a minus failure and evalType as N/A.
The separate app "SafetyNet Test" also shows Failed, with only the "CTS prfoile match" failing, BasicIntegrity,Response Signature validation and Safety Net Request passing just fine.

P.S. no issue with the 20210312 build, from which I upgraded previously with the same opengapps (A11 preview from 2021-01-31)

Using twrp-3.4.0-1-beryllium.img to install the encrypt_data_v1-1-zip and the phone encryption work.
Then reboot back in the recovery and flash twrp-3.5.0/3.5.1/3.5.2 then reboot into the recovery again also need to enter the password/pattern, reboot back to system and the phone still encrypted.

However if use twrp-3.5.0/3.5.1/3.5.2 to fresh install crDroid and encrypt_data_v1-1-zip then reboot into the system the phone won't encrypt.

Can this be fixed to be able to encrypt data on latest version of twrp?

And can the rom be encrypted after it has been setup and used for a week?

I used twrp-3.4.0-1-beryllium.img to install crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210404-beryllium-v7.4.zip and encrypt_data_v1-1-zip, then restarted into crdroid system setup.
After setup the phone was encrypted., then restart into recovery to install NikGapps-full-arm64-11-20210130-signed.zip and encrypt_data_v1-1-zip again.
The phone and the recovery were both encrypted.
After twrp-3.5.2_10-0-beryllium.img was released, I've installed it into recovery and the phone and the recovery were both still encrypted.
I've been using this more than 10 days and it's working fine, both the system and the recovery stayed encrypted.

I can't say this for crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210418-beryllium-v7.5.zip because after I've flashed NikGapps-full-arm64-11-20210130-signed.zip the phone seems to stuck so I'm going back to crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210404-beryllium-v7.4.zip .

Remember if you want to flash encrypt_data_v1-1-zip, you must go back to use twrp-3.4.0-1-beryllium.img .

Hopefully the encrypt data zip can be updated to use with the latest twrp

Once you flashed encrypt_data_v1-1-zip then reboot back to the system and after setting it up your phone was already encrypted.
Last month I tried to encrypt the phone in the system it was unsuccessful.

Is there any possible way to enable "hey Google" hotword?
If you are using NikGApps you need to flash the Velvet addon.

      Hey @gwolfu ,

I would like to suggest you to consider switch to encryption by default.
Beside the benefits to keep data safe, (just in case you lost the phone for example) I see here and in telegram, there is also some confusion with encryption and OTA - updates etc, people get in trouble. Casual users will be fine with encryption by default and others can always flash DFE (or use custom recovery which auto doing that).
      Τhis will untangle things somehow.

EDIT: I saw there is a poll (encryption or decryption by default) in telegram, I guess everything depends on that. :p
