I just upgraded from 6.x crDroid to latest one and I am very happy that I did. Thanks for great work!

I see few missing things which matter to me which I often use daily:
  1. Screenshot option in power menu. Earlier the long pressing power button used to show vertical menu on right side which included screenshot menu and something else too. Not sure if it was in-built in crDroid or a result of customization of something else.
  2. Missing debug over wifi option in quick settings tiles. I often use this for copying files to phone using adb scripts. This tile needs to be enabled from Developer tools -> Quick settings developer tiles.
Also I have question about encryption. What is the process to dirty flash new update if phone is already encrypted? Anything that I should be aware of?

you need to always flash the encrypt script before reboot

Is there an option to swipe down on the home screen to pull down the notifications/quick settings? I can't seem to find it, and I really find that important.

There also used to be an option to swipe down in recents to clear all apps. Has that been removed?

I am running encrypted with TWRP 3.5.0_10-0 and was on last updated ROM. I downloaded latest ROM, rebooted into recovery, flashed ROM then flashed encrypt 1.1.zip from first page and then rebooted. The phone won't boot.

Is there any way to get phone boot? I have data backed up so can restore it but do not want to reconfigure phone from scratch again.

Edit: Rebooted back to recovery, mounted vendor partition, flashed encryption zip. Back in business!
Mounting vendor partition was required before flashing encryption zip.

Hey guys,

can anyone recommend me a way to reliably backup and restore at least app data (don't have much hope for system data) after rom update? I update rarely as most of the time I just clean flash and install, then setup everything mostly from scratch. Which is time consuming. Still on crDroid 6.

Hi All,
the "hey google" voice command does not work on my phone. I did a clean install with NikGapps core and installed the google app via Play Store. I can't activate voice match / hey google, the function is not availiable.

I remember I had this issue years ago with another phone with a custom rom that came without Gapps.

Any possibility to acitvate it?

Google app needs to be system app
Uninstall it and install Nikgapps velvet addon

Use this version of twrp so you can flash encrypt without mount vendor, or use orange fox recovery latest beta.

MOD EDIT: DOWNLOAD LINK REMOVED

I'm still facing issues with automatic brightness. If I switch on the display in the dark, automatic brightness often switches to 0. It seems that the phone forgets the manual adjustments after a while. Is there any solution?

I tried to install June 15 2021 update, the latest one, but when I click on install in the updater page, it just takes me to twrp without doing anything.

Could I ask where the files are located so I could remove those files and just manually install it?

OTA downloads package in root/data/crdroid_updates
however
after OTA download is done, you can long hold on downloaded update and choose export button to save where you want

Thanks to the developer for this awesome rom.

I've been having these wakelocks constantly that aren't letting my phone sleep, let alone deep sleep. It's seems usb related. Logs are attached & a ss of wakelocks. Pls, give me a solution.
This is only a recent development? In my case I first noticed more than a year ago. While they did result in higher than normal idle drain Deep Sleep was still in in 85-90% range. I couldn't find any solution. So I just keep them blocked. "otg-default" isn't an issue at my end and anyway it seemingly can't be blocked. It's a fairly prevalent issue. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/wakelock-issues-otg_default-usb-usbpd0-qcom-step-chg.4116103/
With all the wakelocks blocked and in 2G-only mode and all other radios off, idle drain is still pretty ordinary at 0.5-0.8%/h. Deep Sleep over 99%.
I keep these wakelocks blocked including a few that are blocked by default.

    Thanks.

Can you please share the link of the app you use to block these wakeblock?

This rom made my microsd corrupted. Initially, I thought it's my card's fault. But it's not.

Does anybody know how to save my data to a secured storage without formatting?

    Gone back to LOS 18.1.
It happened to me as well. I've copied everything I needed from the sd card to my phone memory through TWRP...and, then, formatted the sd card.
