It's possible that they're related. I googled and found this which can help you find the source of that wakelock. https://github.com/stooone/wakelock-source-hunter

How did you disable the service? I haven't been successful in stopping this issue by disabling the service. I managed to stop it by blocking ota.googlezip.net by DNS using my pihole while on my home netwok

IntentOp was showing on Battery Stats, so I blocked them with WakeBlock (Root required)

The main problem is that I still have IPA wakelock while on Mobile Network, draining 9%/h idle. Wifi seems Okay.

i found my phone still getting pretty hot, switched roms to pixel experience
Phone getting hot may be related to NFC issues. Flash lynxkernel (https://firmware.lynix.ca/Lynx Kernel/) {kernel source: https://github.com/lunarlynix/singularity-kernel-sdm845} which fixes NFC issues for US snapdragon models. Solves heating and battery issues. Now this google issue is a separate thing which blocking the google domain in adaway or blokada should help for now.

edit: make sure to also block ota-cache1.googlezip.net

edit 2: i clean reflashed dotOS and added those two domains in adaway as a redirect to ipv4 address 0.0.0.0 and this has completely solved the problem with no known side effects. this is from 3 hours of use and i will currently make it into my daily driver again. I will update you if i have any issues

I am currently having the same symptoms, I suddenly started experiencing battery drain around March.
I was having trouble finding a solution and found this thread.
dotOS itself has a newer version out, so we can only hope that the maintainers will update it.

Hi guy! Welcome to here.

As for the installation procedure.

First, flash the latest version of TWRP to recovery using Odin.

Next, go into twrp recovery mode and flash dotOS and Gapps(Platform: ARM64 / Android: 11.0).

DONE.

Hi, I was wondering if this rom would be a decrease in performance compared to the stock Samsung Rom on a Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965U) in the various areas; battery, performance, & camera (preferably the rear camera). I just want to make sure before I switch from my reliable stock rom to this. I like using a new android version which is why I'm curious in the first place. Thank you.

    Guys, I have a situation.

Just downlaoded today, unlocked Bootloader and TWRP, flashed it after multidisabler and forceencrypt, and all was fine! Working good.

But now, in the night the phone battery was empty and I tried to charge it... to no avail! Absolutely nothing happens when plugging in. Tried wireless charging also, nothing works. Some people told in an old forum post that it could be corrupted kernel.

Is anybody experiencing it? How can I proceed?
I had a similar issue, let the phone charge for a while and then try booting it with holding "Volume Down + Power" sometimes.

Idk why but when phone turns of with 0% it is a little hassle to turn it on again, but it will after charging for a while with holding power and/or Volume Down + Power.
