I have it with every launcher. After reboot the rom sets the launcher back to stock one, if i close settings through recents.
Only solution is to set the stock launcher as default and then nova launcher again as default. Then it works up to the next reboot.

I am also using Nova Launcher beta.

Last build is ok..only issues I have for now :
  • Sound is fine until 50 % , going up is so loud
  • Auto brightness is broken, doesn't change anything. I need manually adjust every time. Sometimes it changes automatically ,but to dark or to bright
  • Scrolling in apps like Facebook, XDA, Twitter, Instagram, Firefox is laggy and stutters
  • No options to disable/ uninstall stock apps like Music, messages, camera etc

I am using Niagara launcher, no issues . It is set as default launcher, after reboot it stays default. So issue is with your launcher it seems xD

Anyone had a problem with the new public beta for Nova not staying as default launcher? Mine keeps going back to cdDroid launcher even though I've set it to Nova.
Hey bud! For me, luckily, the launcher recognized the bug. Nova informed me it is a known issue caused by Android 11, and to toggle back to default launcher and then back to nova. Worked for me, hope this helps. Good luck

I'd like to go back to EU to take 11.8.8 update. I have tmobile converted to EU with msm tool. Do I simply msm back to EU from this rom? I only ask because I've seen accounts of people bricking their phones by going back using msm. Not sure why that would happen but just asking to be safe.

many applications do not have smooth scroll animations. And I also do not like the long reaction of the screen to picking up the phone. And there is also no option, like in OOS, to turn on a screen with a clock, notifications and a fingerprint with a single tap on the screen

So I woke up this morning to my device in qualcomm crash dump mode. It was sitting on the charger overnight not being touched as it does every night. After nearly having a heart attack I turned it off and back on and it booted fine thankfully. Anyone have any idea what would cause something like that to happen?

You need to explore the settings bit more in depth
Seek gestures for single tap to wake
Also you can turn screen on when notification comes, just enable the setting

This is caused by the native Android gesture navigation. (Q gestures) aka OnePlus menu gesture navigation. The gesture triggering simply causes the system to reset to op launcher from Nova from time to time.

Easy way to circumvent this is to use the 'no-nav bar' substratum mod and a third party navigation gesture app like FNG. The moment I did this I never had the launcher reset bug ever again.

It also looks considerably cleaner because oneplus decided to implement small animations when you trigger the Q gestures. There's a stupid tiny little arrow that you'll see on the right and left edges of the screen when you gesture. And then the bottom gestures use the 'recents card', which in itself has a stupid brief animation of a square going down. Drove my OCD brain crazy.

After using third party gesture navigation with the navbar hidden, no more animations and it's razer clean and fast. Nova always stays in place now like it should. Thehe experience is so much better.

Can anyone tell me why vendor_proprietary tree is blocked on crdroid sources? Thanks

Has None else had random shut downs?
I woke up this morning and my phone was in qualcomm crash dump mode. Was just sitting on the charger overnight. I've had this happen quite a few times now (roughly 5-6) and it has happened over the past month or so I've been running this ROM

If I'm going from lineage os to crdroid, can I just dirty flash crdroid?
I wouldn't suggest it and I'd be shocked if any dev ever said it would be ok to do so. I've experimented in the past with another device doing this exact thing since I had backups and that device was easy to flash ROMs on due to a fully working TWRP and no dual slot BS. It booted and mostly worked but there were a few issues and quite a lot of quirkiness and instability. While crdroid is LOS based, a LOT is changed.
