11.2.7.7 just came out for EU, I thought you had advised a fastboot script for us to use to update the underlying OOS, are there specific images we should be flashing (i.e. modem)?
personally I didn't need anything
some TMobile users, might need to flash modem, but without that variant, I don't know

Someone tell me where I'm going wrong here. Side note: this is not specific to this ROM, I just want to be able to install it. Mind you, I've connected my phone to my computer numerous times in the past, and I don't know what has changed or why it's different, but here goes!

Installed the ADB and fastboot supplied, but it will not recognize my device.

Downloaded the entire android SDK platform tools, and it still wouldn't.

Tried updating the drivers through device manager, but my computer couldn't find the drivers. Searched manually - nope.

I'm tempted to try the method of linking 2 phones via USB, using my old 7 pro as a host device. Any ideas what I am doing or *not* doing?

  1. If you're using a USB dock then put the USB cable directly into your computer's USB port instead.
  2. Ensure you have turned on USB debugging in your developer options
  3. Are you able to connect the phone and see the internal storage?
  4. Ensure you are using 64bit version of ADB tools as the older ones won't work with larger files
  5. Try another USB cable if possible, I've seen at least one person say they couldn't see the phone with the official cable but another one worked.

You have to enable test mode in your windows to use fastboot and adb! currently, windows will restrict the device update! once you're in test mode - windows will install the latest driver and the phone will be detected.

bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF

Not true, that's only for the Qualcomm drivers because they're not signed, the OnePlus drivers are.

Thank you for your reply.
1. Not using a dock - straight into the laptop.
2. Debugging is on.
3. No - cannot see internal storage.
4. What version is in OP?
5. May have to try this.

All this is so odd because last night the computer just decided it didn't want to anymore.

Is it showing anything at all in the device manager? Try opening device manager and then plugging in the phone, if the computer sees the device then the device manager will refresh and re-list your hardware, it might be getting detected as something else.

Here's the default drivers just in case :

Thank you, I'll try that when I get back home. Device manager shows Android and had a small icon next to it. I don't remember what it was, but I want to say it was an exclamation mark. I may be entirely wrong...

"When a device has a yellow circle with an exclamation mark under Other devices, this indicates that the device is conflicting with other hardware. Or, it may indicate that the device or its drivers are not installed properly"

Driver update will probably do it, remember to right click and uninstall the current drivers, disconnected the phone, restart your computer, install those correct drivers (without the phone connected) then connect the phone. You should always install drivers before connecting any device as it tells Windows what the device is and how to use it before it's even connected.

Any way to add 5G qs tile for quicker 4g/5g switch? On Tmobile but suffering 5g/4g auto switching issues... I know this is on my end b/c my wife's 9pro on crD has no issues just mine...

Or a root solution, if possible? I appreciate it 😊 👍
there was an app called Battery Guru or some sort that could help lock network bands
however now sure if updated or working with 5G
as for crDroid, no QS tile for that or any other quick switching option
maybe change phones between you and wife? (kiddng :ROFLMAO:)
