Without going into too many details, I found the OP's use of anti-adblock on his site a turn off. But I needed a ROM for my Pixel 2 XL as my roommate will be using it once my Pixel 6 arrives, so I bit the bullet here.

Anyway, I was surprised at the use of Camera Go, as compared to the full app it's very limited. I found I couldn't set a viewfinder grid - which I use - nor could I set the camera to work in 16:9. So I searched and used a modded Google Camera app from XDA: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-mod-google-camera-by-b-s-g.4201665/

Despite its size (270MB), it works perfectly, and so I disabled Camera Go. The only thing I noticed is that the ROM reports itself as a Pixel 6, and I'm wondering if the Google Camera issues mentioned are a result of that.
pls check again. Portrait mode is crashin. Settings is crashing

Im having trouble with this rom. THisi s my first Android 12 build. The rom is Laggy when ever the app asks for permissions. The UI is a bit laggy too. It happnes like im keep presing allow allow allow tapping doesnt do anything after few sconds that system works.

About today, Rom is hanging the phone after 1 mint of start up. Hangs nothing works, no power button no status bar, have to hard reset phone by power button.

Hi guys, do you have any suggestions for Gmail notifications not working? I tried disabling and reenabling them, deleting app data and restarting the phone.

It didn't happen in other roms

is there a way to install TWRP permanently?
Of course there is. Just don't try to root afterward or you will end up in a bootloop, as I don't think the latest TWRP has resolved that issue. Also, TWRP currently cannot decrypt the unit's internal storage on Android 12, so you won't be able to set a pin, password, or other screen lock.

Fastboot boot latest TWRP 3.6_9, or sideload the Zip file. If you copy your files you want to flash to a USB otg dongle, or use a rooted Root Explorer to copy the files to Root/data/Unencrypted, you can flash the TWRP installer.zip Magisk.zip or other files without needing decryption. I've used this method with Arrow A12 Official since it was launched. You can keep your password, encryption and root or update without bootlooping.

Dear ReallySnow,

I have been following your work on ARROW OS for a while now and I appreciate the fact that you have made it available on
Pixel 2 XL (which I own).
I have started working on AOSP for my device and have successfully built Android 11 for my device but I am having some issues making it work with Android 12. It would really mean a lot if you could help me out.
I have fixed compatibility matrix and selinux rules but sometimes during bootanimation the device reboots, and since ADB has not started yet, I don't know how to debug my device. Can you please give me advice on how to fix this problem, or where to look in the source in order to identify the problem.

Hello, can i use the arrow recovery to install 12.1?
I did the usual way of flashing this new update via TWRP boot and ADB sideloading it. I only wipe Dalvic Cache and System, and kept the Data partition.

Booted up and looks fine. Then I noticed a new update OTA dated 1 May 2022, which I proceeded to download and installed successfully.

I'm running v12.0...does anyone know if I can use ArrowOS recovery to apply 12.1?
I booted the newest TWRP image from fastboot, then sideloaded 12.1 with only wipe of system, dalvik, but not data. Worked fine. I guess sideloading from other recoveries will yield the same result.

Hey guys, I'm going to be working on an upstream 5.10 kernel for this rom. It will be offering lots of security and performance increases. Will update later today.

I realy would like to confirm that!
A very stable, smooth, snappy and fluid ROM!
Great work an BIG Thanks to ReallySnow!!
If you would like to have root access and no encryption, you can go the way I take:
    - reboot > bootloader
    - boot to TWRP
    - wipe cache/system/data
    - flash Arrow-v12.0-taimen-....zip
    - reboot to bootloader
    - change active slot! (because it´s a sideload to the inactiv slot)
    - boot to TWRP again
    - flash magisk
    - flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip
    - format data !
    - now reboot to system ... and setup your new fresh android 12 system!

Together with the Magisk module Pixifier_v4 you have a nice connection to the Pixel 6

you might like to revise the lines:

    - reboot to bootloader
    - change active slot! (because it´s a sideload to the inactiv slot)

    to just

    - reboot to bootloader

as someone might think they have to manually switch active slots, when merely rebooting to bootloader after flash does this for you - i think this is what you mean, but it may confuse people the way it is written :)

    and also

    - format data !

    might better be changed to

    - do a factory reset (simply swipe on Wipe screen in TWRP)

you do not need to format data

a factory reset after any ROM install is a good idea...unless dirty flashing of course!

also worth mentioning if you sideload (adb sideload Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip) Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip wont be able to read the zip filename to automatically set options, you'll need to use the volume keys to enable/disable features...safe to disable all options
