[ROM][Android 12L][OP7Pro] crDroid v8.6 [03.07.2022]

Does anyone have problems with the stock camera taking videos? There are some which are totally fine but most of them start to glitch at some moment.
This is an example video. It starts okay and after 0:14 it is unwatchable.
What I have noticed is if I use the ultra wide for video it will happen 100% (4k and 1080p). For the main camera is 60/40 if it will work correctly. If I use the Google camera I don't have such issues but the stabilization there is nonexistent.
Any suggestions are welcome!

I'm still struggling to get assistant to work, tried with core+setup wizard+search+health services, and it errors out trying to setup voice recognition. Flashed nikapps full and I have the same problem. Also, have some weird behavior with the front cam/face unlock. If you use your pin (or pattern) to unlock the phone before face unlock recognizes you, the front camera will stay up. I've just been opening the camera and switching from rear->front->rear to get it to go down.
I have the same with the front camera. Also when I start typing my password and the face id recognizes me, it doesn't skip the pass screen automatically.

After OnePlus all but abandoned the 7 series I've been using Lineage 18 (Android 11). Since Lineage hasn't offered a supported Android 12 I switched to CRdroid Android 12 yesterday. Happy to say it is all I expected and more. Happy to be among you.
That's awesome! Congrats! I have a quick question though. When you went to A11, did your lte or wifi stop working? I finally just was able to install A11 but I have no service. This is driving me crazy, I been at this for the past days lol
I'll have to check. Today I received the SIM card for that phone and I still need to activate it.

Hey guys,
I clean flashed crDroid 8.5 last weekend with Magisk, no GApps but MicroG. Everything seemed to work fine, including root.
Today I installed the latest update via the built-in updater. But when I now open Magisk to install to inactive slot, Magisk shows installation status as "N/A" and I don't have the option to install in inactive slot, only to choose a file to patch.
The Magisk app itself opens normally, but the "Superuser" and "Modules" tabs are greyed out and it looks like Magisk is not properly installed. It worked until the OTA as far as I know.
How do I solve this? Do the reboot, lose root and then flash Magisk again like for clean flash? Or do I use the only available installation option, chose the magisk-boot.img to get it installed before rebooting the phone?
Any advice is appreciated.

Same thing happened to me after the recent OTA, I just rebooted, figured worst case scenario I would reflash the rooted boot.img. But I didn't need to do that, after the reboot, magisk was working just fine again. So reboot, see if it's working, if not, just reflash boot.img
Thank you, you were right! A simple reboot and Magisk is working again. Very convenient, maybe this is a new feature?

Can anyone please confirm if the dead screen error is still happening after the latest update? You know, the bug that makes the screen go off and then you can't turn it on, even if the phone is still working.

Occasionally after locking the screen, it won't come back on, but you can always get it back on by double tapping the lock button to bring up the camera menu.
Well, that's not the ideal solution but it's a workaround, it should do it. Thanks!

BTW, what GAPPS are you guys using that work well with this ROM?

Pre-installation:
- At this time, OOS 11 firmware is mandatory (OOS 12 firmware will result in boot issues)
- Download recovery (download - for clean flash, don't use magisk patched boot.img)
- Optional NikGapps core (download - note that you may also need setup wizard addon if you rely on Google restore)

- Enter fastboot
- Flash our boot.img in fastboot

- Now in recovery go to factory reset and confirm the reset
- Reboot to recovery
- Choose apply update and Apply from ADB
- Now install crDroid zip via sideload

Built-in OTA (slower):
- Go to Settings -> System -> Updater
- Click on Download button for new update and after download is ready, click install
- Updater app will prepare for first boot then finalize installation, but make sure you don't click reboot (you'll loose root if you do so)
- Open up Magisk, go to modules tab, click install from storage and choose TWRP installer zip
- Now head back to Magisk home page and click on top most install button from Magisk category
- From here choose to install to inactive slot
- Reboot and enjoy
