Emergency alerts (EAS) are showing up blank for me. A separate heads-up notification appeared minutes later but when I attempted to open it to read the full alert the notification simply gets dismissed and nothing else happens. Anyone else having this problem? cdDroid version 8.12 as per the final screenshot.

Have you thought about updating to Android 13? This thread is more about crDroid 9.1 now.

Hi GtrCraft,

I will sooner or later switch to your rom coming from ArrowOS 12. I'd like to know if the switch to fbe v2 is in consideration, i.e. a clean flash will be mandatory. If you have it lined up, I'd wait just some more months to avoid clean flashing twice.

Thank you
Hi

I'm also on ArrowOS 12. Without reading the entire thread, would a switch to fbe2 need a clean flash? If so I'll wait too.

Thank you. It needs a clean install. Right?
Unfortunately, looks that way. I wish we could stick with one or the other 🙄

I'm trying to figure out if dd-ing the unencrypted data partition to my laptop, formatting data, installing, etc. and then dd-ing back the data into the (decrypted) partition world be doable. Any thoughts/experience with that anyone? 🤔

I messed up and updated to the newest version through the gui without realising that it changed encryption methods, is there any way to recover my data now?

I did, it just gets stuck in a bootloop, also twrp can't decrypt data partition either, is there a way to manually unlock it through adb or something
You need to boot to recovery and flash the previous version (just ignore the fact that data can't be decrypted) - don't wipe or format data. Hopefully it's still intact.

But to install this new release, there is no way but to format data and start configuring from scratch 😕

Swift backup helps tremendously with most apps, but setting up the system each update is a real pain.

but i have flashed the previous version and it gets stuck at the boot animation. I have left it like that for like half an hour yesterday and it was still stuck.
