[ROM][Android 13.0][SURYA] crDroid v9.9 [OFFICIAL][21-09]

The Developer said used MindTheGaps. I used it first time switching to this rom, after that flash via OTA (or may be dirty flashing).

Note from maindthegapps:

MindTheGapps

Maintained by LineageOS contributor Alessandro Astone, AKA XDA senior member aleasto, MindTheGapps is yet another compact GApps distribution. This one is particularly known in the community for being the officially recommended GApps solution by the LineageOS team for its custom ROM.

btw following the download links from https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps
takes us here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=322935&sort_by=date&sort_dir=DESC
which has a newer version than https://sourceforge.net/projects/wsa-mtg/files/arm64/20230323/ or https://mindthegapps.com/download/

i guess the best to use would indeed be https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=322935&sort_by=date&sort_dir=DESC as it is from the owner of Mindthegapps and the latest.

@GtrCraft u might want to include this on the 1st post?

I would like to switch from the bloated GApps I'm currently using. I believe the process to follow would be wiping the system partition and then flash crDroid and the new GApps, without wiping data. Is this correct?

The issue I have is that in both TWRP and OrangeFox, there's no option to wipe the system partition. If I go into the Mount menu and select the system partition, it doesn't appear in the Advanced Wipe menu. On my Mi 9T Pro, the system partition is listed in the Advanced Wipe menu.

EDIT: The solution to remove NikGApps is to flash the ZIP you initially flashed, after renaming it to UnInstall.zip. Very clever. https://nikgapps.com/misc/2023/03/0...aming-the-zip-to-uninstallzip-and-flashing-it

Hello to all, I have a problem

1st time
Flashed last fw (V14.0.1.0.SJGMIXM_20230215.0000.00_12.0_globa) from fastboot
first start wiht miui 14
flashed last twrp recovery + Cr last version + Mindgapps last+ magisk26
factory reset + format data (from recovery) and finally flashed disable encrypt

First boot I'm unable to setup wifi (after entering the wifi key nothing happens)
I go ahead with mobile data but when entering the google account, I can't enter the google account because the email entry screen keeps restarting (loop check update and check information)

2nd time
The same as above but with nikigapps
Wifi ok but same result with google account, loop check update and check information.......
Try also by sideload, nothing changed
Do you have any suggestions?

make sure u are indeed using latest versions of everything:
xiaomi rom: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/surya/
twrp: https://sourceforge.net/projects/surya-twrp/files/stable/
nikgapps: https://sourceforge.net/projects/nikgapps/files/Releases/NikGapps-T/
mindgapps: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=322935&sort_by=date&sort_dir=DESC
magisk: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk (use stable)

also do not install Magisk initially. do it after u have set up your phone.

so imho:
1. xiami flash tool and flash the latest version for your REGION, let phone boot, check for any updates, install if available.
2. adb sideload twrp
3. install only rom + gapps (wipe and format data after installation)
4. boot, set up phone restore backup etc.
5. install magisk.
