Just found about this thread, this ROM looks so good I'm considering buying myself this phone (2109119DG aka Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE) just to run it!

After reading through the whole thread twice, I still have a few questions:

1) What is a good camera app to use with this ROM? I'm familiar with GCam (it's what I use on my current phone) and also to MIUIcam (which I used previously), some searching brought this up for GCam on this phone, does it work with this ROM? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-11-lite-5g-ne-download-here.4454637/
If not, any other options?

3) How long is Xiaomi taking these days to unlock the bootloader? It was 8 days with my current phone (Redmi Note 9 a couple of years ago), I've heard it's taking 30 days now, hope that's not true... :-/

4) how stable is this ROM as a daily driver?

6) Are GPS and compass working well? I really need these for hikes, navigation, etc.

1) I am not familiar with cameras. I don't use GCam and MIUIcam. I just know all cameras works in Aperture, built-in camera app on LOS.

3) 7 days for new phones. You might be lucky if you have used the phone for a period of time (I guess you need to login Xiaomi account). I unlocked my old Mi 9 SE and Redmi Note 7 Pro without waiting.

4) I have been daily driving it for at least three weeks. It's very stable.

6) GPS and compass works well. LineageOS has very strict Device Support Requirements to make sure everything works well. If there are problems, you can ask or submit a bug report (if it's bug).

I also tried with a different recovery but it won't get past the MI logo, what should I do? I need this phone as my old one is broken :(

edit:
ok I flashed dtbo, vendor_boot and recovery from pixelos and then the recovery worked, I don't know why it doesn't with los files...
so I finally managed to install LOS....

5) how is battery usage? How much screen-on time are you folks getting?

After trying it for a while it seems rock solid, no issues. I can't speak about battery usage because I haven't been using it intensively but bluetooth, wifi, data, phone, gps, compass, display, audio, everything works fine. Kudos to @Its_Vixano

the display wakes up when picking the phone from the table, is there a way to disable this behaviour?

It seems a recent upstream change broke los for Poco x3 (which I also own) causing it to get out of inodes on system ext (mindthegapps fails to run). A fix has been uploaded, but I wonder if it's also needed on this device? @Its_Vixano I just hope it doesn't break too :/

Hi everyone,

I finally flashed lineage OS 20 on Lisa.
Good job !

I flashed gapps but of course, device is not certified (Play Store).
Is there a way to have it certified ?

I remember old smartphone I could certify Play Store with some wipe cache and other things, but I don't remember and don't know if it would work now.

Thanks for any help

Can you tell me the steps? I manage to flash both dtbo and vendor_boot but stil get stuck with the Mi-logo. I strated with the MUI13 latest flash image.

Update-I tried again and succeeded to come into Recovery mode. But the Wiping data gave an error. See attachment.

I followed the steps from https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lisa/install/variant1
but since it didn't work I did the same (fastboot flash etc.) using the 20230510 files from pixelos here and the rom. When it finally booted I repeated the steps using the LOS files and for some reason it worked... hope it also works for you

Today's update is causing mindthegapps to fail to run on my phone, anybody else experiencing this issue?

when updating, will i lose magisk root?

Yes, but you can regain it immediately by re-patching (using Magisk) and then re-flashing the new boot.img (by transferring the patched file to your PC, rebooting your phone into fastboot, then using fastboot in your PC to flash it). Reboot into system and you will have root back.

And it gets better: after my first update (from 20230826 to 20230902), which proceeded as above, a new option ("Install to inactive slot (after OTA)") is now showing in Magisk's patch menu; I've been told it can be used right after the update but before rebooting, to flash Magisk back into the updated LOS; this would eliminate the last 3 steps of my upgrade procedure above, dispense using the PC, and allow immediate boot into rooted LOS. I haven't tried it yet, but will do at the next upgrade (20230909?) and then come back here and report the result.

Does anyone know the answer to this?
LOS instructions recommed to use firmware 13, xiaomi site now has firmware 14.0.9 which I suppose has lots of fixes compared to 13... I'd like to know if I can/should update or not?
I update my previous post. The answer should be clear. The instructions require your phone to have Android 13 firmware, not MIUI 13. Check if you use MIUI based on Android 13. If so, you can install LineageOS. If not, update it to Android 13 in settings.

@orangeTable This thread seems quite inactive. You could ask your question on official LineageOS communities, which are more active.

Or come to the developer's Telegram/Matrix channels, he is usually active there and is very kind and helpful:

Updating this rom (I mean the installation process in the updater after a new build has been downloaded) is extremely slow, does anyone know why? I have a few other (older!) devices with LOS and they all update quickly...

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13 (T), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

This comment require explanations from the the devs
Or the thread will be reported
NO, that comment requires explanation from the guy who commented it. It is some random magisk module or a macilious app that he installed by himself.

Eitherways, feel free to report if you donot understand this, XDA moderators are well aware what Official Lineage is capable of doing.

    ^^
Also i don't have control over the automated LineageOS build system (expect for device trees that are all pushed on LineageOS github org)

if you don't trust these builds, you can still build it from source by following the wiki guide (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lisa/build/variant1)

    Does it pass safetynet?
Official LOS doesn't pass SafetyNet. To pass it, flash ih8sn provided by ItsVixano via Lineage Recovery. ih8sn is a non-root solution.
