Now i have the same problem. ClockworkMod doesn`t work.

I have to check. How i get it working. And it works. I have to test how i made it.


Could someone check this.

Install Android 2.1 Rom 2.34

Go to clockwork recovery.

- WIPE (within Clockwork)
- install Backup
- install boot only
- install clockwork

Do not enable USB-Debugging!!!

If it is disable you can install clockworkMOD

My phone crashes en any seconds after boot. I try remove the sim card and fix the overclock, but if i insert the sim card again, the phone back to crashes?

I already have de 2.34 ROM, and WIPE all, flash the ROM and the boot only, wipe all again and after first boot fix the overclock with the milestone overclock (without sim card). After this I insert my sim card again, but the phone still crashes...

any help???

Update: The ClockworkMOD works fine here...

Did your Phone Crashs if you have Wifi enable.

Maybe it crashs only if you have mobile data activate.

My phone runs now for 20 min without crash.

Exactly, when I disable the mobile data, the phone works fine.

yes i also found that, i used apndroid to deactivate it and as i said the problem was not the overclock.

Ok, Phone Crash only if UMTS and data is active.

If you disable UMTS everything works fine.

I think Overclock to 1,3 GHz is to much.

China 2.2.1 Rom could also use ClockworkMOD.

I test it the same way like the Milestone 2 way.

Diable USB-Debugging and it works.

I think we can use china 2.2.1 Rom. only camera doesn`t work in this rom.

Hi,

I installed from 2.5.1 and it installed just fine. I didn't need to carry out step 3 though:

3. Flash defy_2.2_boot_only.sbf file via RSD Lite

Is this because i was already running the 2.2 rooted version?

I booted up and download the milestone overclock and it reports that my device is running at 1000mhz, 66vsel. It seems stable enough, no lockups etc.

Minor issues noticed are:
Camera not working, web browser missing, no rotation and also the status bar is really dark and you need to have a clock widget to see time when handset isnt at lock screen.

Seems fast and working ok so far.

Thanks for all efforts, let hope the fixes can be worked out soon.

-Flash from clockword recovery.
