Welcome to SlimBean rom. This is 4.3.1 branch: JB3. based on CyanogenMod's(arco68's) device & kernel sources. If you have questions about rom features please ask them in Q&A section.

superuser.....to have full root you need to activate it in developer settings....change the setting Root Access to app + adb and you are good

Install instructions are the same that are in slim website?

4.3 Installation Instruction

After there is a some confusion about how to install 4.3, here is a list of what's absolutely necessary

full wipe (means: wipe data / factory reset and format /system)
install Slim 4.3 ROM
install Slim 4.3 gapps

Aroma Gapps work, FM works too, all in all it works just great!

Just don't forget to install Superuser and change "Root access" in the developer options else you won't be able to give apps root access ;)

Some more things that people might wonder/or not..
- GPS does not work (any workarounds?)
- Photosphere: the one posted on the slimroms homepage doesn't work, however this one on xda works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116851
- WIFI seems to be dropping quite often in quite irregular intervals. Haven't had that with other custom roms yet.

Tried it and went back to "CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131009-1902-serranoltexx.zip" in less than an hour. I simply did not find a reason to chose slim over carbon. Carbon rom is just so perfect :good::good: Setting layout in carbon is hands down 10x more intuitive. Moreover I noticed that battery drained much faster in heavy use with slim rom in comparison to carbon.

but still remember it's UNOFFICAL...
When we get the offfical release it think it will be much better then now.

Sure man ;). I meant no harm. I even donated additional amount to arco68 to show my gratitude for supporting S4 mini LTE. I was not even addressing issues that do not work. Carbon just feels more intuitive and easy to me, and this introduces no over the top features that I need, but its just me ;).

    New version is up. Includes some kernel tweaks and fixes.

    Torch fixed
    YouTube working
    Adfree also working. You need enable root in developer options.

    For i9190 device building right now.

    I9190 version up, added device sources for devs, thread edited a bit.

    New slim bean 1.9 is up. Im using it right now and works good.

    - GPS is working
    - kernel updates by arco
    - device updates by arco

    gps and couple issues fixed already(thx arco68 for updates in device sources)

    i will upload new version for slim and carbon soon..

    Its still on my ssd I just need repo sync and make -j8

    but kernel development is much greater than build a ROM.

    I will sync today slim and let see what's new..
