I believe Live Display is not functioning correctly at the moment. The only other thing I have noticed is that checking the setting to reorient volume buttons when moving the Note between landscape and portrait has no effect.

Either way, neither really breaks the experience (in my opinion).

Another bug: when you go to settings wifi advanced and activate the option online only when charging/powered then the wifi will not turn on again after waking up the device ... and the mtp-bug is really annoying, popping up all the time.
The rest: great !!!!

For the Wifi bug: I'm not sure, since I don't use this setting.

For the MTP bug: How often is it popping up for you, and when do you usually see it? I only see it when uninstalling an app from the Play Store.

1) you should try this setting
2) MTP: i am not sure, that might be correct - i have to check :good:

Just discovered, that different VPN-Apps are not working. They seem to connect, but somehow they are not really connected f.e. with italian servers. Tried the same apps on other devices running LAOS 14.1 and there they are working. Hmmmm ...

Keyboard won't show up on boot. I flashed the ROM then Gapps.

Fixed, had to go into settings and select "Show Virtual Keyboard". Not sure why that isn't default to begin with...

Ya, this has been necessary for all custom ROMS on the Note in my experience. At least, all the Nougat ones.

Hey sw98, is there a quick way to flash a recovery img without root? I used, I believe, TWRP 2.8.7.0 for flashing your build and it worked perfectly. I'm not rooted, so cannot use the TWRP app from the Play Store, and for the life of me only remember flashing the recovery wayyyy back in the day with Odin.

EDIT: I ask because I wouldn't mind being on the newer version of TWRP that you posted.
Not sure if you figured it out yet but if you already have TWRP installed you can upgrade through your TWRP recovery itself with the latest .img file from the page at https://dl.twrp.me/n801x/.

Simply reboot to TWRP recovery (Power + Vol Up), select Install & then Images... from the lower right and browse to the TWRP image you downloaded, flashing it to recovery partition (of course). Once flashing is successful reboot to recovery and TWRP should be updated.

If on the other hand for some reason you don’t have TWRP installed it can be done using Odin with the tablet in Download mode (Power + Vol Down) & the latest tar file for n8013 available on https://dl.twrp.me/p4noterf/ (should be 2.8.6) then update TWRP as above.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been on and off using TWRP for years now, and seriously never realized you could flash the .img file in recovery.

This time around, I used the .tar file that SW98 had included on his Android Filehost page and ran that through Odin.

Hmmm...
Any ideas?
#N8013UPDATE
#N8000RELEASE
The N8000 release will be coming soon. Most likely tomorrow?

#N8013UPDATE:
1) could you please check the mentioned problem, that VPNs don't really work?
2) I use latest Magisk and Safetynet fails all the time (yes, absolutely clean Installation)?
3) a working live-display would be great
4) is it possible to show a small dot in the display for position when using the spen?

Wishlist end

Thanx, Sukram.

Like this comment of mine and/or reply to this comment of mine, if you want another update for the N8013 with the latest changes?

I applied the last commits from @lirokoa to the corresponding LineageOS branch for the samsung hardware and it works. The next step will be applying kernel patches and get the N80xx to be officially supported once again.

I've been using this for almost a year. It's awesome!

OP - Any plans to try the latest OS?
