i flashed system vender and boot using fastboot and now i am stuck on asus logo what to do...
the instructions clearly say install image. i reckon steps 3), 4), 5) and 6) are to be done in the device's recovery:
..How to install:
1) Download all files
2) Extract GSI , vendor+boot zips
3) Flash firmware-X00TD.zip
4) wipe system , dalvik-cache, cache , data , vendor
5) go to install -> Install Image -> select system.img
6) flash vendor.img and boot.img similarly
7) Reboot...
i guess it wouldn't hurt to elaborate: Extract GSI , vendor+boot zips to some (same) location on the device (internal/external storage). you get 7 files if you download all the stuff from the op: 1 .apk, 3 .img and 3 .zip files.

@SagarMakhar, although no recovery is specified, what recovery would do the job fully without a hitch?

Great job Dev. It's the best Rom available right now.
It is soo stable and even supports pixel camera port

Ram and battery management is awesome.
No issue with connectivity
Speaker output is decent.

Only bug found till now - data transfer tool doesn't work.

Anyways it gets out weighted by all the advantages and pixel features. ❤️

Can ambient display "handwave gesture" be added?
And double tap to wake up?

I didn't take Screenshots while setting my phone up.
The problem is like, when you change to a new phone Google asks if u want to transfer your data to your new phone or not.
Do the transfer of data isn't working

see my post above. would you mind telling:
i) the rom you were on when you switched to this rom
ii) what recovery you used: twrp/rwrp? version?
iii) whether data partition had to be formatted.
iv) other things to be aware of while trying this project

many thanks in advance.

Data transfer tool will work if you give it all the permissions by going to settings>apps>show system>data transfer tool

iv. Nothing. Just do it. A beautiful Pixel experience awaits. ;) :)

Well , It doesn't matter how you flash images , it does the same thing.
And ofcourse only twrp is capable of flashing images and I think it doesn't need explanation
I think I made it simplest to flash , no post GSI zips , no fix zips , can't get more easier than this.

Ok , thanks for clarification.
Copy all three images to internal storage , wipe data , cache , dalvik , system , vendor
And flash them through twrp like I mentioned in first post.
Should fix your problem

i hoped to get clarification on the brand and version of the recovery. and, i've got answers already. thanks for your work on X00TD. :good:
