Have you tried reflashing the rom with another recovery maybe? Or just flashing the rom, and afterwards GApps package?

I haven't. But I am not far from it.

In apkmirror site I have noticed that google is releasing new updates, I will wait another day or two to try them.

Google have update the Google play services to 8.0.01, but it haven't solved the problem.

I think I will be moving to Ivan_Meller CyanogenMod 12.1

I've used a lot of other roms, especially cm ones, but I always keep coming back to this one. It's by far the most stable and the smoothest rom, for me at least. So I'd recommend you to try and reflash this rom. But whatever floats your boat

I think the OP stoped developing this a long time ago and there are, in my opinion, better options in this forum. I'm not talking about CM based ROMs.

Eclipse by AC(wait for V5) and usol38's ROM(v2.4, very very stable and fast)

I have tried other touchwiz ROMS already (clean installs, cache and dalvik wiped, factory reset), that (after updating) ended up with the same issue. For now, my friend is using Rubbaband and she has no more freeze/reboot.
Not sure this is the best choice though...

now maybe the problem comes from another app that I have not reinstalled (I became suspicious, and for example I did not reinstall Hangouts that was her default SMS app), conflicting with something in Android Revolution HD31.

I should also check what bootloader,firmware or modem to use with those ROMS.... (I ran into errors when flashing some ROMS from her recovery, lost wifi with some others, even if those were all 4.4 ROMS).

Maybe try changing bootloaders? My bootloader is XXUFND3, and this rom works just fine. Hope you fix it soon

I have clean flashed this ROM several times on my N7100, but it fails to boot each time. It always get stuck on the flashing Samsung logo. What could be wrong. I've tried different recoveries as well
