Hi Mike,

I'm a strong supporter of ARHD and have even managed to help a few newbies with questions on this thread, but a friend of mine is smiling like the cat that got the cream as he has the OTA JB4.2 update and, as far as I'm aware, there's no news of when this is coming to ARHD. Will you be releasing a version anytime soon? If so, will it be on the 19.x thread (if so I guess it will be 20.0) or on your new Sense 5 thread? I work on a cruise ship and internet time is expensive, so I don't have the facility to browse the web all day, therefore I apologise if this question has been asked on here before: I guess it must have been as surely I'm not the only one who's waiting for the ARHD treatment of JB4.2.

That's more of a question for HTC rather than Mike.

Given that the HTC One has only just been released with 4.1 on it, that's more then likely going to be the next update for the HOX (probably around June time), so we probably won't see 4.2 on the HOX till the end of the summer.

NCX or n3okernel (new name) V31d is very stable and battery life is better than stock or at least the same with improved speed and smoothness.
Fatures like USB Fastcharge or s2w are worth giving it a try.

Stock has no s2w..ncx is good/stable lately not many updates and has not updated the wifi fix yet,XM has many beta releases and one known stable version:188v4
You should test them yourself/read feedback from other users in the thread
There are more kernels:kozmik and tripndroid just to make it even harder for You

188v4 is for the xml kernel, which didn't need repack anymore.

hello everyone, i would like to share my One X setup.

my history with the phone, went from ARHD 16 > 18, all stable and fast!

last week i see the thread about awesome battery life and like everyone, i want that too! So i started flashing venom rom and XML kernel,
phone got really unstable, chrashing alot, laggy.. not even close from what i expected to happen.

Decided to flash a few days ago again the rom of ARHD , but this time version 19.2 with stock boot.img and Rom cleaner.
again really stable and no issues! Thanks mike Battery life was not bad, max 3 - 4 hours with screen on. 25 percent brightness and light use.

But still i had to try to the XML kernel in combination with the ARHD rom! i got ahead and flashed the kernel, 188v4
Setup: smartmax and noop and thats it.

Yesterday it happend.. screen on time of 6.5 hours! i was all day busy with tasker , testing things out, downloading and stuff like that. its still very usable, sometimes i notice a little lag but nothing to be frustrated about. This was just the first day, so i guess it becomes even better the next few days.

how? why? huh??!

When not using the phone it goes so damn low in speed that it just doesnt use any battery, kinda instant sleep.. also when it got at 10 percent it took a hour of screen on time to get it to 3 percent battery.

day time ( about 6.15AM till 11PM ) my screen is at 25 percent. After 11PM it changes to the darkest setting and totally silent mode. < Tasker

i guess the rom cleaner does also alot, there arent many apps automaticly running in the background.. still a few that i would like to get rid off, like picasa.

the only thing that i would like to do to my phone is flash a mod that can rid of the power save bar.. it annoys me sometimes.


ill include some printscreens so you guys can see and might do the same thing to get the best battery life.

Depends on the kernel you're using.
Try to check /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/auto_bln
If you have this file edit it and put 0 inside.

You could put as you set the Kernell, Governor, etc. Frecuancia.

I tried all the other kernels a few weeks ago, but in exchange for the "better" battery life and performance I have to give up smoothness and stability. Also apps that use hardware stop working (for example flashlight apps), even had random reboots with one of the kernels.

Im with mike on this one, Stock kernel is the best kernel. I think mike tweaks it a bit, but nothing invasive, keeps it running in perfect balance between battery life, performance and smoothness its also rock solid stable. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, the best experience I had was with the default kernel for mikes roms.

i was for 2 days on venom rom but damn its so slooow and unstable, decided to go back to ARHD and right away its the perfect rom for my phone , no freezes, delays or chrashes!
