Hey @mike1986. - thanks for all the work on ARHD, been a fan (and user) since the day I got my M7

Quick question - do you know what the difference between the bluetooth stack/functionality on the GPE edition and ARHD is? I'm having issues getting the Fitbit surge to work (which is stated to work with the M8 w/5.0+) and it seems like rhys100 is having the same issue on ARHD but that it worked on GPE. Thanks a bunch!
After two of use asking about the problem and no response from mike, I'm sad to say i've had to move to sky dragon as my rom from now on. :( Bluetooth working great.

Hi guys, I am having an issue flashing the 4.16.401.10 firmware
the problem is that the mid and cid values from the firmware.zip do not match those of my device. I have an At&t M8 my model ID is 0P6B12000 the firmwares one is 0P6B10000
my cidnum is CWS__001. It looks like the MID is for an HTC One M8 developer model, however I am fairly sure its just a regular at&t M8.

it appears that all of the firmwares provided are using the 0P6B10000 MID so I cant use them. is there somewhere else I am supposed to get the correct firmware from?
the only firmware I found that had the right modelid was 4.16.1540.8 but its android-info.txt looked way different than the others so I left it be.

firmware update

Guys I must some firmware packages before so I want to push the first and the go the way up to the latest..

But when I trie to push an older firmware I get error message I think its because im already on the latest.. but I really need to because my signal is really bad since im on the latest.. so maybe its because I skipped some firmware packages before..

C:\HTC\One_M8_All-In-One_Kit_v\data>fastboot flash zip firmware1.zip
target reported max download size of 1774489600 bytes
sending 'zip' (50706 KB)...
OKAY [ 2.912s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) adopting the signature contained in this image...
(bootloader) signature checking...
(bootloader) zip header checking...
(bootloader) zip info parsing...
(bootloader) checking model ID...
(bootloader) checking custom ID...
(bootloader) checking main version...
FAILED (remote: 43 main version check fail)
finished. total time: 6.200s

Thanks for the help in advance!

Thank you... but I gave up and I went to do a full wipe.
Now I cant get the phone to work. it boots ant optimates all the 245 apps and then it says "Unfortunately, HTC dot view not responding" and "Unfortunately System UI not responding" (or sth like this).

I allready downgraded the firmware and ARHD version but.. no go.

Now I'm thinking to go back to 4.4.4. to see if it works... or do you have another alternative?

I will stil try to see if I can do something with the "Repair FS" option!

Br,
John

You need to format the /data partition in TWRP (type yes to confirm) or format internal sd. Make sure you have a backup!

send from my HTC One M8 (Lollipop)

Thank you all for your help... as I wrote down yasterday, I managed to sort out the problem.
It's enough if one person writes down the right answer. :)

I couldn't save the data because I had also the problem with internal storage showing no files.

Everything is fine now... thank's to everybody that contributed theit help, thoughts and time.
That's what I like in here and why I always choose ARHD for my first ROM. ;)

John

erm, i thought you had to be s-off to flash firmware? or have i missed something! oh well, sorry bud, thats out of my depth then!

You do actually NOT need to be S-OFF to flas Firmware, but you have to find your matching MID and CID.

Have a look here:

http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.de/2015/02/how-to-find-proper-firmware-variant-on.html

Quotation from site:

What you are looking for is the "modelid" and "cidnum".

If your device is S-ON then both modelid and cidnum must match.
If your device is S-OFF then modelid is critical to match, but cidnum can be changed either by changing CID of your device or by editing android-info.txt.
Edited firmware.zip can't be flashed on the S-ON device.
If your device is S-ON then you can't downgrade your current firmware version.

Cheers and best luck. It worked for me with 4.16.401.10 firmware and S-ON.

pleas help with haptic feeback

If you've got a kernel manager (I use elementalx kernel/app), you should be able to modify vibration strength - may depend on kernel / manager used though?

Could also be a vibration motor issue that just presented otherwise, if you can't do anything to shake it loose.

Since you have said this I have factory reset my phone 3 times now, reflashed both the latest firmware and latest arhd, and have installed elemental x, all with no luck of getting my haptic feedback working again.

Just to let everyone know, im s-off with latest of everything (i have checked, and double checked)

I do get vibration if i change from stock keyboard to swift keyboard and amend in swift settings, but I would like to use the stock keyboard!

My main annoyance with it all is that I get no haptic feeback at all when clicking into the app drawer or pressing the soft keys at the bottom!

I do get vibration alerts for texts and calls, just not the soft keys! I did think it was a hardware fault, but cant if this is the case?! Please could someone help me out! :):confused:

    1. If you want to say "Thanks!"

There are many ways to show your support to the developer. You can:
    • Press the "Thanks" button.
    • Hit the donation button and "buy me a beer".
    • Share your opinion about my work and write some feedback in respective thread.
    • Advertise my work to your friends.
    • Rate my thread with 5 stars.
Every way of support is highly appreciated, but it's not expected!

    2. Sharing policy

This forum is about sharing. If you want to use any part of my work, please feel free to do it but remember about some simple rules:
    • Inform me about using my work by sending me a message. You don’t need my permission, just inform me.
    • Include link to my thread from where you took particular files.
    • Give proper credits for what you used.
    • When it comes to using my ROM as a base you are free to do it only if I don't have "Stock ROMs" thread available for particular device. If such thread exists, you are
obligated to take ROMs from there instead. These threads with "Stock ROMs" are usually updated within 24 hours from the moment when I release my custom ROM.

Sharing is one thing, but please respect some areas of my work like:
    • ROM name - "Android Revolution HD", "Android Revolution", "Revo HD", "AR HD" etc.
    • Graphics used in my threads, especially head-banners designed exclusivity for me.
    • Other parts of my work that are not supposed to be used by others without proper permission.
Please let me keep my threads design unique. I’m sure you can do something even better yourself!

    3. Support

If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to post them in the respective thread. Due to my commitments in real life I can't answer every PM, tweet or facebook post.
If you want to get the fastest and the best answer - ask the question in the thread. Every month I need to remove about 1.000 new messages from my XDA inbox. I’m sure it’s better if I spend this time cooking new ROMs.

    4. Signature banners for users

Due to the increasing number of users flashing my ROMs we introduced some time ago 3 special groups of members.
    • Android Revolution HD Recognized User – every user might get this rank with proper banner by being active in my thread (or threads).
Helping users to solve problems, answering questions or preparing threads with add-ons for Android Revolution HD are the most common ways to gain this rank. Just be active and we’ll contact you!

    • Android Revolution HD Advanced User – every user might get this rank with proper banner by doing some amazing modification, application, theme etc. for Android Revolution HD.
Creating simple bootanimation might not be enough, but you never know! Having Recognized User status before is not needed!

    • Android Revolution HD Supporter – every user who shared some server space with us (with proper bandwidth) will get this banner. Please keep in mind we can't use DropBox shared folders.
What we can use is minimum 20 GB of space and 10 Mbit upload speed. If you want to donate some server space to us, please contact me via private message.
Apart of those special banners, every user might use one of our amazing user banners collected in this thread.

Finally, thanks for using my work! I hope you will enjoy Android Revolution HD!

    Sense 6 Toolbox

    5Pmnoef.png
    Sense 6 Toolbox
    by Mikanoshi & me

    What is Sense 6 Toolbox?
Sense 6 Toolbox module contains a large variety of mods that will improve almost every aspect of your Sense device. You have to have Xposed installed to use these mods. For more info about Xposed refer to the original thread.

A note about compatibility. We develop the toolbox on ARHD on the HTC One M7 and M8. That ensures that every mod is compatible with ARHD. We can't test the mods on every other ROM. But as long as the ROM is near stock without deep changes, it should work there too. For the best and most complete experience I recommend using ARHD.

    Which mods are included?
For a complete list, please head over to http://sensetoolbox.com/6/modslist.

    Here is a summary:

    Interface mods
    • Transparent statusbar and notification drawer
    • Center clock, AM/PM removal, traffic meter, horizontal EQS
    • Gestures to manipulate recent apps and additional information about each app, AOSP styled recents
    • [Sense 6] Custom color themes for every app

    Statusbar mods
    • Icons by vomer (CleanBeam)
    • Customizable color themes for all new statusbar icons
    • Ability to hide icons

    Sense mods
    • Transparency for many UI elements (dock, clock widget, app drawer, folders, etc)
    • Infinite apps in folders, 7 home screens, home popup menu, more grid options for homescreens and app drawer
    • Actions for vertical swipes and shaking on homescreens, horizontal swipes on dock

    Messaging mods
    • Wake on SMS, increase MMS size
    • Replace delivery notifications with toasts
    • Increase MMS size

    Controls mods
    • Volume2wake
    • Activate flashlight on power long press
    • Bind actions to hardware buttons (Back long press and swipe up from Home)
    • Bind actions to volume keys for camera and music playback controls
    • [M8] Smaller softkey bar

    Various mods
    • Advanced Power Menu
    • Show more information about installed apps and apps that are being installed
    • Improved screen locking and unlocking
    • Hardware buttons backlight control
    • Large caller photo in dialer and on lockscreen during calls
    • Disable unwanted notifications and confirmation dialogs
    • On/off screen animations (Fade, CRT)

    How to use the Toolbox?
First you must have Xposed Framework installed (more Info here). After that enable the Sense 6 Toolbox module in the Xposed Installer, set up the mods you like and tap 'Soft Reboot' icon to apply them.

    Backup functionality
Toolbox supports settings backup and restore using default Andriod cloud capabilities. Enable backup in Settings > Backup & reset. Now every time you uninstall and install Toolbox its settings will be automatically restored. If you want to save/restore settings between reinstallations, use local backup on SDCard function (its button is next to Hot Reboot).
