HTC Music APP

Hey guys,

does anyone else have the problem, that HTC Music APP keeps saying, that you should insert a SD-Card?

I did a clean install (yes I know what clean means) and flashed ARHD v.43 with ElementalX kernel.

Everything else works just fine.

Under the section "titles" in the Music app, my music gets displayed. When I swipe to "interprets" or "albums" it says, that I should insert my Sd-Card.
I did already try wiping music data without success.

Thanks in advance

Got the same problem. You can see songs only in "titles" and "Playlist" sections, all other sections return the insert SD card message. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Some problems to report @mike1986. on latest ARHD 43 (was like this on 41 as well):

When using PowerAMP for music and using chrome when loading a page the music gets very choppy, almost all the time.

When using PowerAMP/HTC Music through the speakers and the screen goes off I get "Robot" sounding music (this does not happpen all the time and usually gets better after a restart)

I have my music files on a microSD card.

When last installing ARHD I did a full format of the Phone with TWRP and then restarted into recovery and installed ARHD 43 not sure if this info is needed just letting you know.

Are you using the latest firmware? There were similar M8 issues a while back & it was an issue with incorrect/mismatched firmware being used with the ROM version. Everything works good for me on the AT&T M8 using the Baseband version 4.0.U605611 Firmware build 4.16.401.10 CL448934

Yes I do have the latest firmware and until last version there was never a problem. Maybe it's a problem with the Music App itself. I'm not sure wheter it is one of the Sense 7 Ported (if they actually are) apps.

Otherwise I have no idea at all. It works in all other apps!

Thanks in advance

Ps: @mike1986.

To summ up, we got the little bug with the Music App and I am not sure wheter we were able before or not, but I can't install the ROM without installing GMAIL app. Not sure wheter we could before! It is installed in any case.

Same here and it would be nice to know how to fix it :)

I tried different filesystems on the ext SD Card but it did not take any effect. I wiped the data of all different Music Apps and services and tried a manual sd media scan. No success. Keeps saying that we should plugin an SD Card.

Maybe anyone has a htcmusic.apk from one ARHD version where it was working and might want to try to replace it with the one in the current version or just upload to compare filesize!

At least this should be easy to fix with a 43.1 version or something like that, because the ROM is running perfectly smooth though!

Hey Mike thanks for your efforts with this rom, I have been using your roms since the one x.

Now some feedback for 43. It's the 3rd time I have updated my m8 and did a full wipe/format for the install. I only have about 20apps half games none that need dump permission. Day one fine, day to phone start stalling, day 3 had to restart about 3 times due to stalling, day 4 phone just freezers from time to time no buttons work have to restart. Now I have not noticed any specific problems with any particular app or the rom to help nail it down however dose not change the fact phone is not quite right. Bit worried cause seems like a rerun of the one x before the motherboard died funnily enough not long after the m7 came out and HTC gave an update. Is it possible this company puts out bugs to stuff phone so you upgrade? Probably not just find it weird my iPhone still runs but 2 HTC phones die just after update from HTC and now m8 is playing up. Either way no confident with HTC and there support sucks. Either way thanks for your efforts Mike.

Ps. I have seen some people report problems that seem to affect a few yet others give them an ear bash because there phone is fine. Don't want to hear it! if you're phone is fine lucky you but for many it is not and has not been since lollipop. 2nd I know what I'm doing so it's not user error ;)

M8 super cid, latest firmware .10 ARHD 43 after full wipe.

Was just about to revert from 43.0 back to 41.0 as I'd found Sense 6 to be a bit less friendly. Had gone and downloaded the file and what should pop up on my phone in the app updates - Sense 7 :D

Issues with 43.0

Hi, I'm having issues with 43.0so I reverted again to 34.6, which doesn't fix everything also. I'm not even sure all issues are ARHD related, but I'd like to recap, perhaps someone has fixes:

1) 43.0 still has issues with mobile hot spot, I can't set a password, and it doesn't remember the SSID. I fixed by reverting 34.6.
2) 43.0 has an issue that it doesn't remember debugging authorization from computers, and I need to reauthorize. 34.6 has the same issue.
3) 34.6 has an issue that I can't deploy apks to the device (security exception). I'm resolving it by doing the "chmod 777" solution, but I need to do it again and again after restarting the device. I haven't checked it in 43.0 (I reverted before having a chance), but I suspect it still exists also.
4) Sometimes when switching to landscape mode, I get a FC for android.ui.

Can anyone confirm or deny relation of these issues to ARHD and/or suggest solutions?

Thanks!

Tal

A simple search will provide the fix to the security issue on wifi hotspot. It's been known for months.

    Important notes:
    1. If you want to say "Thanks!"

There are many ways to show your support to the developer. You can:
    • Press the "Thanks" button.
    • Hit the donation button and "buy me a beer".
    • Share your opinion about my work and write some feedback in respective thread.
    • Advertise my work to your friends.
    • Rate my thread with 5 stars.
Every way of support is highly appreciated, but it's not expected!

    2. Sharing policy

This forum is about sharing. If you want to use any part of my work, please feel free to do it but remember about some simple rules:
    • Inform me about using my work by sending me a message. You don’t need my permission, just inform me.
    • Include link to my thread from where you took particular files.
    • Give proper credits for what you used.
    • When it comes to using my ROM as a base you are free to do it only if I don't have "Stock ROMs" thread available for particular device. If such thread exists, you are
obligated to take ROMs from there instead. These threads with "Stock ROMs" are usually updated within 24 hours from the moment when I release my custom ROM.

Sharing is one thing, but please respect some areas of my work like:
    • ROM name - "Android Revolution HD", "Android Revolution", "Revo HD", "AR HD" etc.
    • Graphics used in my threads, especially head-banners designed exclusivity for me.
    • Other parts of my work that are not supposed to be used by others without proper permission.
Please let me keep my threads design unique. I’m sure you can do something even better yourself!

    3. Support

If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to post them in the respective thread. Due to my commitments in real life I can't answer every PM, tweet or facebook post.
If you want to get the fastest and the best answer - ask the question in the thread. Every month I need to remove about 1.000 new messages from my XDA inbox. I’m sure it’s better if I spend this time cooking new ROMs.

    4. Signature banners for users

Due to the increasing number of users flashing my ROMs we introduced some time ago 3 special groups of members.
    • Android Revolution HD Recognized User – every user might get this rank with proper banner by being active in my thread (or threads).
Helping users to solve problems, answering questions or preparing threads with add-ons for Android Revolution HD are the most common ways to gain this rank. Just be active and we’ll contact you!

    • Android Revolution HD Advanced User – every user might get this rank with proper banner by doing some amazing modification, application, theme etc. for Android Revolution HD.
Creating simple bootanimation might not be enough, but you never know! Having Recognized User status before is not needed!

    • Android Revolution HD Supporter – every user who shared some server space with us (with proper bandwidth) will get this banner. Please keep in mind we can't use DropBox shared folders.
What we can use is minimum 20 GB of space and 10 Mbit upload speed. If you want to donate some server space to us, please contact me via private message.
Apart of those special banners, every user might use one of our amazing user banners collected in this thread.

Finally, thanks for using my work! I hope you will enjoy Android Revolution HD!

    Sense 6 Toolbox

    5Pmnoef.png
    Sense 6 Toolbox
    by Mikanoshi & me

    What is Sense 6 Toolbox?
Sense 6 Toolbox module contains a large variety of mods that will improve almost every aspect of your Sense device. You have to have Xposed installed to use these mods. For more info about Xposed refer to the original thread.

A note about compatibility. We develop the toolbox on ARHD on the HTC One M7 and M8. That ensures that every mod is compatible with ARHD. We can't test the mods on every other ROM. But as long as the ROM is near stock without deep changes, it should work there too. For the best and most complete experience I recommend using ARHD.

    Which mods are included?
For a complete list, please head over to http://sensetoolbox.com/6/modslist.

    Here is a summary:

    Interface mods
    • Transparent statusbar and notification drawer
    • Center clock, AM/PM removal, traffic meter, horizontal EQS
    • Gestures to manipulate recent apps and additional information about each app, AOSP styled recents
    • [Sense 6] Custom color themes for every app

    Statusbar mods
    • Icons by vomer (CleanBeam)
    • Customizable color themes for all new statusbar icons
    • Ability to hide icons

    Sense mods
    • Transparency for many UI elements (dock, clock widget, app drawer, folders, etc)
    • Infinite apps in folders, 7 home screens, home popup menu, more grid options for homescreens and app drawer
    • Actions for vertical swipes and shaking on homescreens, horizontal swipes on dock

    Messaging mods
    • Wake on SMS, increase MMS size
    • Replace delivery notifications with toasts
    • Increase MMS size

    Controls mods
    • Volume2wake
    • Activate flashlight on power long press
    • Bind actions to hardware buttons (Back long press and swipe up from Home)
    • Bind actions to volume keys for camera and music playback controls
    • [M8] Smaller softkey bar

    Various mods
    • Advanced Power Menu
    • Show more information about installed apps and apps that are being installed
    • Improved screen locking and unlocking
    • Hardware buttons backlight control
    • Large caller photo in dialer and on lockscreen during calls
    • Disable unwanted notifications and confirmation dialogs
    • On/off screen animations (Fade, CRT)

    How to use the Toolbox?
First you must have Xposed Framework installed (more Info here). After that enable the Sense 6 Toolbox module in the Xposed Installer, set up the mods you like and tap 'Soft Reboot' icon to apply them.

    Backup functionality
Toolbox supports settings backup and restore using default Andriod cloud capabilities. Enable backup in Settings > Backup & reset. Now every time you uninstall and install Toolbox its settings will be automatically restored. If you want to save/restore settings between reinstallations, use local backup on SDCard function (its button is next to Hot Reboot).
