Changing ROM

If I come from another customROM and want to install AR HD 41.0 what is the right procedure ?

1) Is obvious that I have to download the recovery in my SD.card
2) Should I do factory reset and wipe data/devil ecc ?
3) Use TWRP 2.8.6.0 to flash it
4) Atteding to install the rom

Do I miss something or is the procedure allright to go on and try AR costum ROM?
Any suggestion or a piece of advice are very welcome !!

I, like most of you here, have a rooted HTC One (M8). It's currently on Android version 5.0.2, and is running Sense 6 on the stock ROM/kernel. I want to flash ARHD, so I went to their download page and there is are options for Android Revolution HD 41.0 - Lollipop (Android 5.0.1 + HTC Sense 7.0) as well as Android Revolution HD 34.6 - Lollipop (Android 5.0.1 + HTC Sense 6.0). Does this mean it will not work on 5.0.2 even though it's technically Lollipop? And last thing, if I chose to download Version 41.0 for Sense 7, does that mean my device must have Sense 7, or would it put Sense 7 on my device? I apologize if my questions have easy answers; I just wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

Yes you can install it. The ROM already has root access

You need to set RIGHT read/write permissions, see post#24575. (and try to search first)

The only bug I had was the wifi hot-spot, there is a fix for it. Now personally I have no bug at all, it's perfect.
